WHITLEY GETS ROCKED

Frustrating doesn't even begin to define how I feel right now.  This is nuts. How is it that the Yankees can't score more than 3 runs? I mean, I understand that the Blue Jays are doing well, and yes, they're in first place, but that won't last, you know that.  But for the Yanks... and the way they've been scoring and NOT scoring bunches of runs, it's unbelievable. We should be making our move toward first right now... but we keep going 1 step forward and 2 steps back.  It's killing me softly.

Chase Whitley got rocked tonight.  I can't get on him too badly because he's actually been pretty good for us, but that being said, he needs to stay on top and do his best.  Hell, WE need to do well. Dammit, we need to play like the Yankees.  Whitley went 3.1 innings tonight, he gave up 11 hits and 8 runs.  Not good. The only good news in all of this is that David Huff and Shawn Kelley shut down the Jays and didn't allow them to score another.

But the bigger problem is the offense. Nothing.  We scored 3 runs.  We have only 6 hits. We left 4 on base.

In the 4th, Mark Teixeira homered. In the 9th, Yangervis Solarte was able to knock in Francisco Cervelli on a single. Shortly after, Kelly Johnson doubled, knocking in Carlos Beltran.

It was slim to none, and the Jays made sure tonight's game was out of reach...

Final: Blue Jays 8 - Yankees 3

I'm getting more and more annoyed each night.  Anyone with me?
