MASA-HERO!

It was bound to happen sooner or later. 3 losses in a row never feels good and after last night's tough loss and Yankee fans making effigies of Chris Leroux, only to beat the hell out of them (Read HERE), it was time to win a game! Luckily... we had Masahiro Tanaka on the mound. Luckily, we came alive today. Masahiro is my hero of the day.

Tanaka went for the Yankees today and is now 4-0 this season.  I love to watch the mechanics of Tanaka. It's beautiful. Am I the only one who thinks so?  Anyway, Tanaka went 7 innings, gave up 8 hits and 3 runs. He looked good. Add in the fact that he had run support and there was something big there.

The Yankee hitting went like this;

In the bottom of the 4th, Mark Teixeira and his .269 average cranked out a 2 run homer.  Shortly after, Jacoby Ellsbury his a grounds-rule double scoring Ichiro.  In the bottom of the 6th, Kelly Johnson homered.  In the bottom of the 7th, Tex singled and drove in Ellsbury. Then Alfonso Soriano sacrificed home a run.

In the bottom of the 8th, Ichiro doubled home Brian Roberts. Then Gardy singled home 2 more runs.  Over all, we were on fire with the bats, and I personally loved how it all came together... finally.

Final: Yankees 9 - Rays 3.

More tomorrow... I can feel it!
