THE BACK UP TO JETER IS BACK WITH A BAD BACK...

It reminds me of a really terrible bit that Andrew "Dice" Clay used to do... Hour Back.

No one knew what Dice was talking about, but they laughed... this is no laughing matter, but trust me, everything will be fine with back up infielder Brendan Ryan.

The Star-Ledger reports that Brendan Ryan has a bad back.  Jorge Castillo writes: "Ryan arrived and took batting practice without a hint of discomfort from the lower back that had been ailing him. Everything seemed normal. Then he played catch and, to test his back, decided to windup for a harder throw. Immediately, he felt a pinch in his upper back.

'It just tightened up,' Ryan, 31, said. 'So I figured I better just stop right now before it gets worse. It’s frustrating.'

...Ryan, who said he has dealt with similar injuries in the past, also estimated a return Monday is his best-case scenario. That would give him one week to prepare for the Yankees’ opener in Houston."

We'll see what happens but I don't think this is going to be a problem. We have to report it though, we like to keep you in the loop.
