YANKS CHECKED IN ON ERVIN SANTANA...

...and according to Ken Rosenthal, they probably won't be too impressed.  Needless to say, they are sniffing around to try and make some fits. You have to appreciate that.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, and this is just a quick report, the Yankees have asked for the medical records of Ervin Santana:
It's a good move to just to make sure he's in good shape, in case they want to make a move. But like I stated earlier, Rosenthal points out that Santana has a poor flyball record and may not work out in Yankee Stadium.  That's probably why Kenny's a writer and not on the Yankees, because in the end, they still may want the guy, regardless of what Rosenthal says. Anyway, here's Ken's second tweet:
OK then.  So, are the Yankees just going through the motions I guess? Maybe they'll ask him if he'll take a minor league contract? Maybe not? Who knows really. It is an important nugget though. We still need pitching.

Look, truth be told, I'm not about to hammer Ervin Santana, I like the guy... plus, he follows BYB, what's not to like?
