Now the rules were simple and everyone competing followed them: Voting for yourself was allowed and you could not advertise or promote yourself on any social networks, but you could simply post WHO WILL WIN THE FIRST ANNUAL BEEB AWARD? and let the readers vote if they wanted to.
Now, if you read between the lines, that literally left the BYB contestants with the ability to tell friends outside of social networks to vote for them; maybe call Aunt Bonnie in Pasadena, your old art teacher. How about your college fraternity? Whomever you wanted... just as long as you didn't creep around the social networks and promote yourself. Those WERE the rules...
Well, it’s been interesting so far. As I've been chatting with the writers the past 15 days or so, I've gotten the feeling that some were just downright aggravated by this “popularity contest’. Others told me they refused to look at the results. But all the writers have followed the rules and I appreciate that. Thank you to the BYB writers for respecting the process and respecting me and this silly "BEEB" award. And for those of you readers that voted, thank you and please continue to do so… Oh… and I have another announcement to make.. because I can. Ready? Here it goes...
Shits about to get real, because the
rules have changed again with 10 days left in the first annual BEEB Award!
To all of my loyal and passionate writers. It’s time to use the social networks! It’s
time to do whatever you can do to get the vote! BUT there are a few simple rules:
- You cannot vote for yourself
- You may promote on social networks, but NO SPAMMING.
To the loyal BYB Readers... vote often. Tell others to do the same. Vote for your favorites. YOU CAN VOTE FOR MORE THAN 1 WRITER! And most of all, have fun! Also, thanks for participating!
So yeah, the rules have changed with 10 days to go! Who will win the prestigious BEEB award? Who will be crowned the best Bleeding Yankee Blue writer of 2013? It’s getting very exciting, ain’t it?

Good luck to the BYB writers, I
appreciate all your hard work. Try to
have fun with this OK? It’s just a silly award contest, still though, it's a major award! Then again... what the hell is a BEEB
anyway?
Thank you to all the Bleeding Yankee Blue readers for continued
