LAURA POSADA & YANKEES FANTASY CAMP

Yankee Fantasy Camp is a huge event every year in Tampa.   This year it happened once again and our friends Jorge and Laura Posada were there to work out with the ladies and enjoy the nice weather at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

 

Thank goodness Laura kept Bleeding Yankee Blue readers in the loop, because I need to be honest, I was surprised to find that I couldn't locate a write up or information about it anywhere! I was disappointed. I mean, this is a pretty big event, big Yankee stars, the Yankee family coming out to meet the the many that wanted to suit up! It's a real good time for all.  Again.. many, many thanks to Laura for keeping the week documented!

Besides the Posadas, Jenny Steinbrenner suited up as well as El Duque and his wife, Noris. Damn, Jorge and Duque look like they could play for the Yanks right now! Great shot of 2 great Yankee couples!

Anyway, it's about the ladies and the pinstripes.  Notice Laura here stretching it out and getting ready to play.  As Laura wrote on her caption: "Stretching before game 2, lost the first one :((. #posada #yankees #baseball #fantasycamp #mlb #hiphip" 

The ladies played some games and clearly had fun. Laura took a ton of pictures! Above is another... it's a classic. These are the "Georgettes"... I dig it.

So what tops it off for Laura? It's family of course.  On Laura's Facebook page, she simply wrote her thank you note: "Thank you to the #yankees and Jenny Steinbrenner for giving women in fantasy camp an unforgettable experience!"  Clearly the bond between the Steinbrenners, the Posadas and many that play for the New York Yankees, former and current, are family.  There's a bond there, and much like we preach here at BYB... Family.  We've become friends through talk and passion of the New York Yankees, but that passion becomes a bond... like family. Speaking of family...

And when it was all over, when camp packed up and the pinstripes were hung back in the lockers and the ladies said their goodbyes... our girl still manages to smile for the camera. Exhausted... yet ecstatic because the camp was a huge success!
