MICHAEL PINEDA IS READY TO MAKE YOU LOVE HIM

It's been a long time coming, but Michael Pineda is ready.  After injury and DUI, he is heathy and according to reports, he's ready to compete in the starting rotation for the New York Yankees.  But, it almost seems like there is caution in the wording of Brian Cashman.

If you read the Star Ledger from December 17th, it reads like this:

"Pineda, 24, is said to be healthy, according to Cashman. But, the general manager added, "'All good' means pitching seven innings and knocking the bats out of guys' hands at the big-league level." But is Pineda truly recovered from his shoulder injury? He hasn't pitched in in the majors since September 2011. Is Pineda the same righty who struck out 173 batters in his only full season? Pineda still has minor-league options, so he'll have to really impress."

Brendan Kuty, the author, questions whether Pineda is truly recovered. I believe he is, but I get it, trust me.  Kuty has the right to question it... it's been a long time.  I am convinced that the Mariners delivered damaged goods when they traded Pineda back when we flipped them Jesus Montero.  We'll never really know, that trade is a big mess anyway.  So far, neither team got much back on their investment.

We shall see what happens with Pineda, but I wanted to at least give you alittle info on this phantom.  We've heard virtually nothing from the Yankees on this guy until recently. Hopefully the guy isn't a lemon.

Stay tuned...
