RETURN OF THE CAPTAIN... MAYBE

Today Derek Jeter plays 5 innings for Scranton Wilkes-Barre.  That is coming from Andy McCullough of the Star Ledger in a Tweet:

Damn, I really hope this sticks.  Look, the reality is you can play all the simulated and minor league rehab games you want, but you won't really be able to test yourself until you really and truly get on a major league baseball field.  The poor guy had to come back from an ankle injury, tweaked quad, calf, what's next... we really don't know... we just need to cross our fingers on this one.

Stay tuned...

In other news... check out Andy McCullough in his Twitter avatar? He looks like a grown up version of Squints from The Sandlot, doesn't he?

I wonder if he ever kissed the hot lifeguard as a kid...

I kid Andy, I read you all the time and I think you're great. Just breaking chops!
