EXPECT AROD BACK ON THE YANKEES MONDAY, FOLKS

Alex Rodriguez has just told the world that he expects to return on Monday to the New York Yankees.  He didn't tweet it and he didn't get told to "Go F**k himself" by Brian Cashman after he said it.  According to USA Today, the feeling is mutual... he's ready.

On WFAN, read HERE, Alex spoke about it: "Rodriguez said he expects to be in their lineup against the Texas Rangers, which would meet his goal of being game-ready by the conclusion of his rehab assignment, and he reiterated that hope before a Wednesday workout."

Brian Cashman was on the same page saying: "That's the hope... Let's get through the weekend and see where he is at and see if he is major league able."

For those of you who don't want Alex to return... accept it, he's coming back for now.  For those of you, the few of you that are ARod fans, congratulations on his return.

Look, I'm going to make a statement and it will not be popular to the ARod haters, but I'm making it because it's important to the state of the Yankees and their success this second half. It also doesn't make me a mean guy, we just may disageree... here it goes...

If Alex Rodriguez comes back and he's wildly successful, he's back to full form... hitting homers, playing a solid third base, and if we make it to the playoffs this season... you will enjoy ARod again and accept him.  That's just a fact.  Players who play well and succeed are appreciated and loved.  I'm not saying you'll fall back IN LOVE with him, but you'll like what he does for the team... and right now, with the lackluster offense we have, you best be rooting for this guy to deliver... that's all I'm saying.
