Tonight the Yankees lost Mark Teixeira in the fourth inning. And no, I don't mean he got lost in a mall or something. I mean he aggravated his right wrist and was pulled from the game. This has to be some type of a sick joke at this point. We have injured players, we lose those players, they do their DL stint and come back and for what? Just to get hurt again? Ridiculous.
According to the Associated Press HERE, "Teixeira left New York's game against the Los Angeles Angels in the fourth inning Saturday with an aggravated right wrist.... Teixeira...will be examined by Yankees team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad in New York on Sunday."
That doesn't sound too good. One will hope this isn't serious. I know I do. They worst case scenario is he goes back on the DL and Lyle Overbay plays first... and that's not a terrible scenario. The best case scenario is he's OK and just misses a few games.
Stay tuned...
