UPDATE: THE PETTITTE CHRONICLES

Dramatic title right? Not really.  I Just wanted to update you on Andy Pettitte and if this guy is going to come back after going on the DL with a "bad back", read HERE.

Here it is, this update is short and sweet.  According to Mike Vorkunov at the Star Ledger (HERE) from May 25th, "...Andy Pettitte threw a bullpen session today without incident. The next step is an extended spring training game, though Girardi said the Yankees will wait until Sunday to see how Pettitte feels."

Well it's not Sunday, it's Tuesday and we have some really good news. There are "Twitter reports" that suggest that Pettitte threw 70+ pitches in a simulated game today in Tampa.  Those reports also say that if all feels good,  he will be back "soon."  We here at BYB are working to confirm this now. 

The good news is Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, HERE, believes that Pettitte will be off the DL when he is eligible, June 1st.  That my friends, is good news.
