The Yankees minor league infielder, David Adams has been released. Adam was the Yankees' third round pick in the 2008 MLB Draft. He was a second baseman that changed to third base.
The reason for the release, according to Lou DiPietro of YESNetwork.com HERE, it "...was the reciprocal roster move made to open up a 40-man roster spot for outfielder Vernon Wells, who was officially acquired from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim earlier Tuesday."
Surprising, I guess. I mean, we here at BYB liked the kid. Jeana Bellezza wrote a piece specifically about David Adams and giving him a shot. It was titled LET THE KIDS PLAY! Check it out.
Anyway, good luck to Adams, just wanted to let everyone know.
