STEPHEN DREW IS OFF THE MARKET

It appears that the Boston Red Sox have grabbed another one that the Yankees were looking at.  Don't look now, but the Sox are quietly building a team again and heard you it here first folks. The American League East is no slouch with the Blue Jays, the Red Sox and even the Orioles being much more competitive.
Word is Stephen Drew will earn $9.5 million on a 1 year deal from the Sox. That's coming from good old Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.com, read HERE.  Now, Scott Boras is Drew's agent, and I suspect the Yankees just don't want to deal with that crap.  Boras seems to be the agent the Yanks have been distancing themselves from lately because of long and bad contracts.  If that is in fact the case, I have no problem with that.
But yeah, another signing from a division rival.  The Yankees? I guess they're trying to scrape together a few bucks to re-sign Raul Ibanez.  They'd better hurry... I hear the Mariners are about to go after him big.  Stay tuned...
