YANKEES PITCHERS & CATCHERS! LET'S GET PHYSICAL!

Many wonder if the Yankees pitchers and catchers just show up to George Steinbrenner field and just stretch out and start throwing...not exactly. First things first, they arrive at camp, and get their physicals, they weigh in and if they're over-weight, most likely they'll get their balls broken by fellow teammates, although, I highly doubt anyone's breaking CC Monster's chops.
The talk is that Phil Hughes is in the best shape his life, read HERE. We've heard that before, hopefully this time it's true. He's 25, there's no reason why he should be out of shape. After the physicals, there's a nice stretch session and a bunch of getting re-acquainted with everyone. I'm sure everyone's gonna chat about AJ Burnett and that whole ordeal but for he most part, it's about getting down the business, talking to the media, feeling the hot sun on the newly cut grass and feeling the vibe of baseball again. Word is Michael Pineda will take #35, Hiroki Kuroda will take #18 and Andruw Jones who used to be #18 will switch to #22. This is coming from Bryan Hoch. Love Hoch. Read his Tweet HERE. There's also word that Kuroda will use Burnett's old Spring Training locker. Not sure why we'd need this useless knowledge, but that tweet's out there too.

A lot of the guys have already showed up to spring training this week. Of course the Captain was there all week, Robinson Cano was and he's reportedly taken Michael Pineda under his wing so Pineda feels comfortable. You gotta love that. Read about Cano HERE. Not sure if Alex Rodriguez showed up yet, but we know he wasn't there this week. Read WHERE'S ALEX?

But the bottom line is, Spring Training is here and I am so psyched to have baseball back!

If anything happens with Raul Ibanez or Eric Chavez today, we here at Bleeding Yankee Blue will bring it to you. Don't worry, we live for this crap, it's fun.
