YANKEES FORMER 1ST ROUND PICK SIGNS WITH REDS

According to Jon Heymann of CBSSports.com, former Yankee first round pick,  Andrew Brackman has agreed to a Major League deal with the Cincinnati Reds today.

You may remember the Yankees selected the 6'10 right-handed pitcher 30th overall in 2007 draft.  Obviously the Yankees had high hopes for this kid but it just did not work out.  Brackman only recorded seven outs in the Major Leagues with the Yankees.  He spent three years in their minor league  and posted a 5.11 ERA.  After this season the Yankees declined their 2012 option making him a free agent.
