Yes, I am as disappointed as the next person.  My inbox and Twitter feed has been filled with stories and anecdotes about why did Todd Frazier had to cross the river into Queens.  But, there is probably no one happier than Mr. Thumbs Down himself, who is welcoming Frazier with open arms.

“It’s a whole new chapter in the wonderful world of thumbs down,’’ Dunaier, a season-ticket holder, said Tuesday from Manhattan Criminal Court, where he is an assistant court officer. He intends to invite Frazier out to dinner to show him around Queens. “I think it’s great that Todd Frazier is going to be playing with the Mets and I’m certainly looking forward to him motivating his new teammates like he did last year," reported Newsday.

So does that mean Pork Roll Night at the Trenton Thunder is out @FlavaFraz21?  I guess so.  He decided to take a two-year deal with the Mets and bring some thumbs down plays to Flushing's Finest.  "The Jersey-bred Frazier, who will turn 32 next week, agreed to a two-year deal worth $17 million on Monday night to add another power bat to the Mets' lineup. Frazier has belted 67 home runs for the White Sox and the Yankees over the past two seasons," reported the NY Daily News just after the Frazier signing.

"Noah Syndergaard also tweeted a thumbs-down emoji on Monday night, representing the gesture Frazier popularized with the Yankees after a Mets fan was shown on television flashing his thumbs down at the third baseman during a Yankees-Rays game that was played at Citi Field due to Hurricane Irma," reported the News.

With Frazier out, that makes more room, I suppose, for other infielders like Gleyber Torres, Ronald Torreyes and Tyler Wade to make a play for the corner spot.  It will be an interesting Spring Training as three or more guys try to make third base their home.  Good Bye Point Pleasant.  We will miss you!
