SQUEAKER!
Once again Yankee offense struggles and once again with our backs against the wall, someone who's been there before lifts the team on their back and pushes them over the finish line. Yesterday, with the game tied at 2-2, it was our Captain Derek Jeter to knock in the go ahead run... and it stuck.
The Yankees snapped a 5 game losing streak. Good pitching was the main reason, but Derek Jeter was the other one. Shane Greene, pitched 6 innings, allowed 7 hits and 2 runs. He actually didn't factor into the decision. It was Dellin Betances with the win, and DRob, with the save... his 32nd. DRob is silently dominating in the closer role... and I absolutely love it!
The Yankee run scoring went like this:
In the 2nd, Martin Prado homered knocking in Chase Headley. The Rays, like they always do, chipped away and tied it up. Then in the 9th, Jeter singled knocking in Brett Gardner. Boom! Just like that, we shut them down... and it's about freaking time!
Final: Yankees 3 - Rays 2
It was a Squeaker...

Leave me alone, I have 5 year olds in my house... I watch Toy Story alot.
