AROD CALLS BUG SELIG A "COWARD"

With the arbitration hearings at a close, and while we await ruling by Arbitrator Fredric Horowitz on the fate of ARod's suspension, Team ARod has also been busy. After Horowitz refused to compel Commissioner Bud Selig to testify, it was clear that ARod and his team had enough. What did they do? Well they filed a 33 page amended complaint, of course! According to USA Today (HERE) ARod's lawyers amended the lawsuit filed against the MLB and Selig.

"Mr. Selig chose to hide in his office in Milwaukee rather than come testify at the grievance hearing in New York. In Mr. Selig's world, apparently the 'buck' does not stop with Bud. Mr. Selig lacked the courage of his convictions to explain under oath the reason for the suspension and the conduct of his investigators. His silence on these issues speaks volumes and leads to only one logical conclusion - his actions, and those of the MLB personnel he controls, were aimed to destroy the reputation, career and business prospects of Alex Rodriguez."

So, in a nutshell, is sounds like he's saying that Selig is a coward. They also gave up evidence against Selig. Part of their evidence includes the above photo of him, with a fan in a shirt that reads "A-Roid." Selig responded that he didn't have the opportunity to read the shirt prior to the photo being taken. C'mon, Commish! Graphic t-shirts are my thing. My sons love them.  It take 2.5 seconds to read these shirts and get the joke. Don't tell me you missed it. I'm not buying it!

Of course the photo itself isn't enough evidence to crack this case open. The hearing for this case is scheduled for January 23rd. We should have a ruling in the arbitration case well before then.

Hey, we're not backing ARod, we did however find this interesting. And don't go attacking us for this story... it appeared in the New York Daily News too. Read Alex Rodriguez's lawyers attack MLB commissioner Bud Selig as a coward in amended lawsuit .
