CANO SERVES THE ROCKIES

The Yankees scored 3 runs today and it would be all they would need in Colorado.  The scoring was simple, Vernon Wells knocked in Jayson Nix in the first. Then Chris Stewart sacrificed Chris Nelson home in the 4th.  That's right.  2 runs... then the rains came.

Coming out of the rain delay, the 5th inning brought Robinson Cano in to crank out his solo homer and it put the Yanks ahead 3-1. That was it.

As for pitching.  CC Sabathia went 4 innings and was replaced after the rain delay. Because of that, Adam Warren ended up getting the win today.  Sabathia only allowed 1 run and 1 hit in his 4 innings.  Warren was followed by Boone Logan, Preston Claiborne, DRob and then, as always, Mariano Rivera came in in the 9th, and shut the door. Save #13.  This guy looks like his 25 years old.  It's amazing. One of our BYB readers tweeted this alittle while ago:

That's about right.  The Mariano Rivera Farewell tour is in full effect and all of baseball is watching this guy.  It's quite incredible and we are lucky to have this happening in our lifetime!

Final today: Yankees 3 - Rockies 1.  We won the series... that's what we're supposed to do.
