OLD AGE IS A BITCH FOR ANDY PETTITTE

Truth be told though... the guy battles through like nothing I've ever seen at that age.  Andy Pettitte's 40 and he plays harder than anyone I've seen in years. I love the guy, but he's got back spasms. Trust me though, the dude's gonna be OK...no panicking!

Mike Vorkunov of the Star Ledger (HERE) reports that Andy is going to miss his Sunday start.  Vorkunov reports:
"Pettitte will not make his scheduled start tomorrow after a bout of back spasms forced the Yankees to sideline him until the middle of next week. The 40-year-old pitched through a mild back issue Tuesday night in Cleveland but found his back lock up on Thursday night."

The key here is it's "mild" and if it means he doesn't pitch until next weekend to be sure it doesn't keep happening, let's let him do it.  When you get old, it takes longer to heal.  It doesn't matter if you are an athlete or a postman, it happens.

But there you have it... don't be alarmed... we got this and sometimes when veterans are the force behind a winning streak, there are aches and pains.  It's life.

The good news is the Yankees are rolling... hopefully we can keep it up.
