9:42PM 12/12/12According to the Star Ledger's Jeff Bradley, HERE a contract is very close with the Yanks, but it's not complete.  It was also revealed that the Philadelphia Phillies have emerged as a team that is working to try and get Ichiro, that's coming from David Waldstein HERE.  There is speculation that based on that, the Yankees may offer 2 years to Suzuki.  For me personally, I'd love to see Ichiro manning right for 2 years.  Many things can be accomplished... including 3000 hits in pinstripes. Ichiro is at 2606 now...just saying.

The deal is pretty much done, but dollars need to be worked out between Ichiro Suzuki and the New York Yankees. That is coming from Ken Rosenthal from Fox Sports who, I don't believe has slept in 4 days.  He's kicking ass with many reports, tweets and deals lately.  Love it.  Here is his Tweet on the Suzuki deal, HERE.

We love Ichiro, and when a deal is official, you will know... because we will know.
