HOW DO WE STOP NUNEZ FROM MAKING ERRORS? NO IDEA

Now, just to be clear, the whole idea why Eduardo Nunez went down to AAA was so he could concentrate on 1 position, shortstop and once in a while they'd throw in 2nd base.  But remember, Joe Girardi was concerned that Nuney was being moved around too much in the Bigs, so, they wanted him to concentrate on 1 spot on the field.  Well, if you read this nugget by Donnie Collins HERE, Nunez has a long way to go. He's made 2 errors in 3 games in AAA and Donnie Collins says he believes they are more mental errors and lack of confidence in his eyes (HERE).  I'm sure being sent down was a shot to his ego, but hey, let's face it if you can't catch, you can't exactly go pro, can you?

To make matters worse, the New York Post's George King III (Read HERE) says that Nunez injured his thumb in Scranton too the other day.  Geez, what else is new, the Yankees have the injury disease lately. Cashman said he'll be out 3 to 4 days down there and then he'll get back to work.
Nunez has potential, but in my eyes, Nunez is an outfielder.  We've written about for weeks now, read these:

WHY NOT MAKE NUNEZ AN OUTFIELDER?
THE YANKEES FUTURE SHORTSTOP....EDUARDO NUNEZ?
WHAT TO DO WITH EDUARDO NUNEZ

It's my feeling and it's only a gut feeling, that if Eduardo Nunez doesn't get through this and learn to catch a ball, I would not be surprised if the Yankees try to unload him by the trade deadline.  I know they love his speed and I know they love his bat, but sooner or later it either needs to catch on, or it doesn't.  Right now, defense doesn't appear to be Nuney's agenda.  Besides... how many years until Cito Culver comes up to man shortstop? I'm just asking... Stay tuned...
