ONE THING BOVADA DOESN'T REALIZE...

True fans don't care about the odds.

Quick story and just because odds are always interesting, but as a fan, you have to leave that in Vegas and just be a fan.  You don't want to hear doubt... you want to think that your team has a shot every time they're out there... even if they might not have it.  For Nationals fans... good for you, the Bovada odds look good, but even you guys need to just understand that it's just a Vegas line. You never know what can happen to a club once they take the field.

Whatever the case... check this out, and we'll give Pete Caldera of the Bergen Record and of Pinstripe Posts alittle traffic:

"Courtesy of Bovada, here is the updated odds of winning the 2015 World Series following the agreement between free agent starter Max Scherzer and the Washington Nationals on a seven-year deal…

Washington Nationals 6/1

Los Angeles Dodgers 8/1

Boston Red Sox 12/1
Chicago Cubs 12/1
Los Angeles Angels 12/1
St. Louis Cardinals 12/1

Detroit Tigers 14/1

Seattle Mariners 16/1

San Francisco Giants 18/1
Toronto Blue Jays 18/1

Baltimore Orioles 20/1
Chicago White Sox 20/1

Kansas City Royals 25/1
New York Yankees 25/1
San Diego Padres 25/1

Cleveland Indians 28/1

Atlanta Braves 33/1
Miami Marlins 33/1
New York Mets 33/1
Pittsburgh Pirates 33/1

Oakland Athletics 40/1
Texas Rangers 40/1

Cincinnati Reds 50/1
Milwaukee Brewers 50/1

Houston Astros 66/1
Tampa Bay Rays 66/1

Arizona Diamondbacks 100/1
Colorado Rockies 100/1
Minnesota Twins 100/1
Philadelphia Phillies 100/1"

I mean, sure it's interesting, but what makes the Red Sox 12/1 odds? Does Big Panda factor in? Rick Porcello?

As far as the Nationals, I can see them suddenly rising in the odds, but here's the thing, and this is why you come to BYB... we're for the fans.  Quite simply and write this down... anything can happen.  Don't take this stuff too seriously.

Carry on...
