BIG MOVES IN THE YANKEES YOUTH MOVEMENT

I read this Tweet from the Charleston RiverDogs below and it made me smile:

Couple that with the latest information from future Yankee studs Ty Hensley and Rob Segedin and you have to start to realize that maybe, just maybe, the Yankees farm system isn't any longer derailed.  There's hope... they're coming to a theater near you.
Perhaps now we can start to get to alittle normalcy and start to play ball.  There is no question that the Yankees are in need to big help on this Yankee club and I have always wanted alittle sprinkling of our youth in our teams.  The veterans teach, the youth gets into a routine and sooner or later, there's magic and a star is born. No, I am in no way suggesting that Gary Sanchez is ready to be the starting catcher for the 2014 New York Yankees roster.  Baby steps. But we got to start moving, especially if Yankee brass keeps suggesting we have a "great" farm system. Hey, we wouldn't know if you don't get them up there.  As my kid's coach would yell... "Let's GOOOOO!"

In this day and age, it's much different from when the Fab Five of Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Bernie Williams, Mariano Rivera and Jorge Posada were down on the farm.  Sure, we heard the buzz about them, but there was no Facebook, there was no Twitter... there were the reports we heard and had to search for it in the papers.  It was much different.  Today, it's more interactive, and the fans can look for that nugget about our youth easily. And you know what? I'll take every nugget I can find.

I think this is a good sign all around.  It makes me excited for the season.  Can we get there already?
