KURODA & CHAVEZ SHINE IN YANKEE TIE

So the Yankees didn’t win, but they fought until they tied and in the Spring, that’s all that matters. The game ended 5-5 against the Braves today. Read HERE.

It was Eric Chavez this time who had 3 run scoring hits in this game. Now only that, Hiroki Kuroda surprises me more and more every single outing. This time he was stretched to 7 innings and looked real good, he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits. I’ll take that from my Yankee starter all day long, especially going 7 innings. Nice.

Other highlights include Eduardo Nunez who had a double. Raul Ibanez launched one over the fence in the third inning but was denied by Jason Heyward who climbed the wall to bring it back for an out. Ibanez just can’t snap out of his Spring slump and to be honest, it’s one of the worst I remember in recent Spring memory. I’m not slamming the guy because it’s spring and when the season starts, all could be fine, but there is no doubt Ibanez is thinking about it. The Yankees signed Jack Cust to a minor league deal today and no doubt if things don’t work out the way the Yankees want with Ibanez, Cust will make the Yankees roster. Read about Cust HERE.

The next game is against the Orioles tomorrow night, 7pm. Ivan Nova will be on the mound. Can’t wait.
