GARDNER FOR HEANEY? NICE FLOATER, CAFARDO!

Even though Brett Gardner has been considered on the trading block for months, read SOURCE: "FOR THE RIGHT MOVE, MILLER OR GARDY COULD GO", there's been a lot of silence, and folks like Nick Cafardo will drum up some rumorville in the Boston Globe because that's what he does. And you know what? He's brilliant at it.

Nick writes:

"With outfield prospect Aaron Judge not far off, the Yankees could deal Brett Gardner for pitching. It's plausible to imagine a Gardner-for-Andrew Heaney swap, considering Angels GM Billy Eppler was Brian Cashman's assistant and likes Gardner's defense, speed, and leadoff capability."

Here's the thing... there have been no rumblings about this. There have been no defined conversations about this.  This is a floater and while the puzzle solution makes sense... it was a puzzle solution made up by Nick Cafardo... no one else.

Look, I like where his heads at, believe me, and a lot of people will run with this. I mean,Cafardo makes sense, but according to my source, it has to be the "right" fit. I do not know if this is the "right" fit.  Besides... Judge isn't coming up by opening day, and depending on where the Yankees are by the Trade Deadline, it may make more sense to trade Gardy then... not now... so don't panic.

Great trade rumor... we just have to wait and see, but do not get crazy here.
