SCOTT HAIRSTON'S IN THE MIX

Scott Hairston is a guy the Yankees have been chatting with lately.  This is coming from Dan Martin of the New York Post.  You can read about it HERE. Martin writes:

"The Yankees continue to have conversations with Hairston, who is coming off arguably his most productive offensive season when he hit 20 homers and knocked in 57 runs with an OPS of .803 in part-time duty with the Mets last season."

Hairston can hit homers, so, if Nick Swisher doesn't want to come back and the Yanks can resign Raul Ibanez to hit from the left side, this is a nice platoon situation. Scotty can also play 2nd base.

The fact of the matter is, I'd love to get Ichiro Suzuki back too. This way Hairston and Ichiro can platoon right field, Raul and ARod can platoon the DH role and it's damn cheap, the way Cash likes it.

If anything develops, we will bring it to you.
