YANKEES TRADE RUMORS ARE SWIRLING ABOUT A KEY PIECE, ALREADY!

We just popped the cherry on the Yankees 2026 season, and the rumor mill is already buzzing. The baseball world has made their predictions and now we wait and see what happens. How competitive will the Yankees be and what about key pieces that will be free agents next season?

Yup, folks are already thinking really far ahead, and that is especially true for Jazz Chisholm. Multiple sources are already predicting what his fate will be. Yahoo sports is already predicting that Chisholm does a repeat from last season with 30+ home runs and stolen bases, check it out HERE. When he does, the Yankees are predicted to offer him $300 million over ten years. I think that is rich but Chisholm has already said that he is expecting a deal that will take him until he retires and he believes he is worth ten years and actually worth more than $30 million average annual salary that would give him. Interesting talk for a season that still has 161 regular season games to play.

Then on the other side of the spectrum, there are predictions of a trade moving Chisholm for a nice prospect haul IF the Yankees underperform and are not in playoff contention, read more HERE.
"If the Yankees don't see bringing him back as a realistic financial solution then trading him for a nice prospect haul during the season could make sense. That's not an outcome Yankee fans want to see, but Brian Cashman is a pragmatist above all else. The combination of being out of playoff contention and not wanting to break the bank for Chisholm could force the Yankees into a deal."

I'm tired of watching the Yankees fail so I don't want to see him clean house for a rebuild, but we have seen it before. It's been 10 years since the last big "sell off" but honestly, I don't know that Cashman could pull off another sell off like he did when Aroldis Chapman, Andrew Miller and cheating Carlos Beltran were all shipped off. I just don't think he has it in him. However, if that happened someone better make sure Anthony Volpe is included in that deal.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this idea is floating around out there. Over the winter we said TRADE JAZZ, VOLPE TO SECOND & GO GET BO! The ship has sailed on that last part but the Jazz move could still happen. The rumor mill is always active with the Yankees, and the day it isn't is when I really worry.

What do you think happens to Jazz? Does he stay a Yankee or does he go? Make your prediction and tell us. Happy Opening week, Yankee fans!

THE HALL OF FAME IS DEAD!

The news from yesterday has me sick. As soon as I saw the news I texted Casey because I was practically spitting bullets. I've had a few people tell me to get over it and stop talking about it but....I'm not gonna.

In case you didn't catch up on the baseball headlines yesterday Carlos Beltran was voted into the Hall of Fame. The sign stealing legend and head schemer of the 2017 Astros cheating scandal will become part of baseball's greatest honor.....let that sink in for a minute.

The man with no honor and integrity will forever be enshrined amongst the greatest names in the game. He's a disgrace to those who played the game with honor and passion like Derek Jeter. Jeter IS a hall of famer, Beltran is a horrible mistake with no honor. Will the Hall of Fame will ever be seen as a legitimate institution ever again? It's a fair question.

Beltran disgraced the game and should be shunned from baseball history just like Pete Rose was. Pete Rose, cheated OFF of the field and was banned from the sport and WAS ineligible for Hall of Fame consideration until May of 2025. He was made an example of. Nothing Rose did impacted the game during his playing time. He paid a high price that Beltran will never pay.

And you can't talk about scandals without talking about Shoeless Joe Jackson. He was banned from baseball in 1921 for his involvement in the "Black Sox Scandal," after he and some teammates conspired with gamblers to intentionally lose the 1919 World Series. He was permanently banned by newly appointed MLB Commissioner, Kenesaw Mountain Landis, to preserve the integrity of the game.....imagine that. Jackson cheated as a player and was held accountable. This is not the world we live in anymore.

However here we are a century later and Beltran cheated ON the field and has no consequences. He wasn't banned, weak pansy Rob Manfred protected him! The integrity that previous MLB commissioners fought to preserve has vanished. Two years after the scandal, Beltran was rewarded with a manager job for the Mets and just over two months later is removed from that role....all thanks to his involvement in the cheating scandal. He wasn't honorable enough to manager, but now he is honored by being inducted into the Hall of Fame? It's asinine.

So now that the writers have voted Beltran in, they have set a precedence that integrity doesn't matter. Honor can be lost and you can still be rewarded with a place in baseball history. Now let's just add Manny Ramirez, Jose Canseco and Alex Rodriguez to the inductee list! I don't care WHAT form of cheating it is. I don't care if you think it's not the same....it's still a disgrace to the game. One disgrace is not "less" than another. Greats belong in the Hall of Fame, not just great stats but also great stewards of the game itself and with good character.

So Beltran may be feeling himself right now. He may be standing tall but being in the hall doesn't erase history, and Beltran will always be known as the architect of a massive and blatant cheating scheme. He brought disgrace to the game and that should NOT be rewarded for that by getting a place amongst the true greats of this game.

That's just my two cents. Agree with it or not, it doesn't matter to me. Integrity over anything else.....period.
The Hall of Fame is now tainted. It is DEAD. I will never look at it the same again.

A.J. PIERZYNSKI SLAMS MLB OVER PETE ROSE HALL OF FAME ELIGIBILITY & IT'S HILARIOUS!

It's funny, because I never really imagined a moment that I would agree with A.J. Pierzynski on anything baseball related. I also thought of him as polarizing. He's been very vocal about a lot of issues in baseball and that is especially true about another polarizing name in the sport....Pete Rose.

There's been a lot of chatter about Rose recently. Now that he is reinstated for Hall of Fame consideration it's been a major topic at my dinner table and here at BYB, read PETE ROSE IS ELIGIBLE, BUT WILL THE WRITERS DO THE RIGHT THING? It's a polarizing topic. There are very strong opinions on both sides.

So, what's A.J's beef now? Well, he went on Foul Territory this week and didn't hold back at all. He believes Rose should NOT be reinstated. I know many people who are on both sides of the argument. His argument is that article 21 of MLB's Rule Book prohibits players and coaches from betting on baseball. If that was the argument he wanted to stick with I wouldn't be laughing as I am now. Check out the video clip below.

There's a real hole in this argument for me. As soon as he ran with the "You can't have the integrity of the game questioned at all" is where it went sideways for me. Has he been living under a rock? Serious question because this sport has lost all of its innocence. The integrity went out the window a long time ago. Let's just go back to the steroid era, shall we? Is Barry Bonds so long ago that baseball got a "get out of jail free" pass and I missed the memo? I mean, he and Bonds were playing at the same time from 1998-2007 so it's not like it's ancient history. It happened, while AJ was getting his feet wet on the big league stage and it's a huge part of history.

Let's fast forward to 2017. It's a topic I will NEVER let go of but the Houston Astros literally cheated their way to a World Series Championship. Trash can signals and buzzers are NOT part of the game, AJ. Integrity went out the window there. To make it worse, after Carlos Beltran is named one of the leaders of this cheating scandal the same time he is in consideration for a Manager role with the Mets? So you cheat, you work your way up to a manager gig. That's the message sent here. If you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin? The Mets only "mutually agreed" to part ways with him after details came out which was a horrible message to send. They changed their mind to save their hide. I have despised the Mets more just for that alone. It was completely tone deaf.

And what about Alex Cora? The equally tone deaf Red Sox hired him for 2018 & 2019 knowing he was implicated in the cheating scandal, then took a brief step back to let the dust settle and let Ron Roenicke manage in 2020 and then reunite with Cora again in 2021 and ever since. What a minor slap on the wrist for a guy that was involved in the biggest cheating scandal in decades and then put him in charge of a different team. Integrity gone....

Oh and to make it more disturbing the General Manager of the Astros at that time Jeff Luhnow lost his job after the scandal. He's not back in the baseball world. In fact he is the CEO of Blue Crow Sports Group, which owns several soccer clubs, including LeganĂ©s in Spain and CancĂșn FC in Mexico. The guy with the least amount of involvement with the scandal not even around the team every day like Cora was and he pays the ultimate price. Integrity gone....

And last but certainly not least....you can't talk about gambling without talking about the Shohei Ohtani gambling scandal that rocked baseball last year. It was alleged that his interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, stole millions of dollars from the star to pay off massive gambling debts. Shohei denies placing any bets or paying off any bookies and it's funny how the money just disappeared without being detected, huh? Because are we supposed to be that nieve to believe the person who is in charge of Shohei's personal finances just didn't notice that massive amount of money just magically vanished into thin air? Apparently, because AJ himself came out in defense of Shohei saying there was no evidence to prove he was in fact gambling. So, it's okay for his money to be used on betting even if he didn't bet himself? Come on....if "you can't have the integrity of the game questioned at all" why is this any different?

If Pete Rose can't be reinstated for betting on games when he was a manager, why is it okay for Ohtani to be accused of it as a player and have no consequences even though his money was used? If the integrity of the game can't be questioned at all then this is no exception and it's hypocritical. By the way, Ippei took the fall for this and in February was sentenced to 5 years in prison over it....but he's not actually sitting in prison yet. His sentence has been pushed back, read more HERE.

So yeah, A.J and I agree that the integrity of the game can't be questioned at all. If the ban is good for Rose, it should've been good for Ohtani, too but you can't really ban the new face of baseball can you?He brings international draw. Unfortunately, the integrity of the game has been questioned many times, and will continue to be (especially under Rob Manfred's command).

We agree on the sentiment, but AJ is oblivious to how un-innocent baseball really is. His argument is a swing and a miss. It did give me a good laugh though.

WHEN WILL THE HALL OF FAME WRITERS STOP THEIR MORAL JUDGEMENT?

Alex Rodriguez has shown significant growth since retiring from baseball, and his maturity was on full display as he extended heartfelt congratulations to this year’s Hall of Fame inductees this week. While his graciousness is admirable, it’s hard to ignore that he’s likely feeling some disappointment over not being considered for the Hall of Fame himself. After all, Rodriguez is undoubtedly one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. However, his connection to performance-enhancing drugs has cast a long shadow over his career, and it’s evident that sportswriters are reluctant to honor athletes tied to scandals or controversy.

Rodriguez’s career stats speak for themselves: three AL MVP awards, 696 home runs, 3,115 hits, 14 All-Star Game appearances, and a 2009 World Series championship with the Yankees. Yet, despite these achievements, he remains on the outside looking in, even as he appeared on the ballot for the fourth consecutive year. His predicament isn’t unique, as history shows that Hall of Fame voters consistently penalize players linked to performance-enhancing drugs or other ethical concerns.

Take Mark McGwire, for instance. Despite his record-breaking home run season and an illustrious career, McGwire has not been elected to the Hall of Fame due to his admitted steroid use. Similarly, Roger Clemens—who dominated as one of the best pitchers in MLB history—fell short of the 75% vote threshold in his final year of eligibility in 2022, earning just 65.2% of the vote. This trend reveals a clear pattern: past transgressions, whether proven or suspected, continue to hold players back from baseball’s highest honor.

And it’s not just players from the steroid era who face scrutiny. Even Carlos BeltrĂĄn, whose involvement in the Houston Astros’ sign-stealing scandal tarnished his reputation, has found himself under the Hall of Fame microscope. Terry Collins, former Mets manager, recently spoke out about the situation, calling BeltrĂĄn’s treatment unfair. Collins pointed out that plenty of Hall of Famers likely benefited from knowing what pitches were coming, yet BeltrĂĄn seems to be bearing the brunt of the blame as one of the few players associated with the Astros scandal. Collins stated, “He wasn’t even a starting player, so it’s not like he gained much from what was happening.”

The broader question remains: when will this end? How long will Hall of Fame voters continue to blacklist players from the steroid era or those caught in controversial moments? At what point does the selective moral outrage stop? It’s worth questioning why certain players—such as Harold Baines, whose inclusion in the Hall sparked debate—are inducted while others with far more impressive resumes are excluded.  Think about it; even Jered Weaver tweaked this after Ichiro got in:

"1 writer said no on Ichiro?  another example of why Hall of Famers should vote on it and not writers"

He's not wrong. Why should these writers hold any power?

Barry Bonds, for example, is arguably the greatest hitter the sport has ever seen. Sammy Sosa, Rafael Palmeiro, and even Pete Rose—all legendary players in their own right—remain outside the Hall due to scandals or suspicions, despite their undeniable impact on the game. Isn’t it time for voters, many of whom have never played baseball at the professional level, to reconsider their stance?

The Hall of Fame is meant to honor the greatest players in the history of baseball, yet it feels increasingly like a battleground for moral judgment. If the goal is to preserve the integrity of the game, perhaps it’s time to reflect on whether this rigid gatekeeping is achieving that—or simply rewriting history.

ALEX BREGMAN RUMBLINGS & I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT

Alex Bregman to the Yankees? Sure, why not just have Aaron Judge hand over his captaincy and the Yankees officially rename themselves the Bronx Turncoats while we’re at it? If there’s one thing Yankee fans hate more than losing to the Astros, it’s losing to the Astros because of a trash-can symphony. And Alex Bregman? He was front and center, banging the drum (or rather, benefiting from its banging), smugly smirking his way through the 2017 postseason while the Yankees were left wondering if they should’ve just brought their own garbage lids to Minute Maid Park.

Let’s face it: Yankee fans don’t just dislike Bregman—they despise him. He’s right up there with mosquitoes, traffic on the Cross Bronx, and Red Sox fans who won’t stop talking about 2004. Every time Bregman steps into Yankee Stadium, he’s serenaded with a chorus of boos so loud you’d think Taylor Swift just announced she hates the Yankees. Bringing him to the Bronx would be like hiring the Grinch to run SantaCon. It’s madness.

The mere thought of Bregman in pinstripes is enough to give Yankee fans hives. Sure, he’s a good third baseman. Gold Glove winner in 2024, great defensive metrics, solid bat. But does that really matter? Yankee fans don’t want to see his numbers; they want to see him hit by a pitch—preferably while a plane flies a banner over Yankee Stadium reading “2017 WAS A SHAM.”

And let’s not forget why. The Astros scandal wasn’t just any old scandal. It was the kind of betrayal that sticks with you, like spilling mustard on your Derek Jeter jersey. Yankee fans have been stewing in that betrayal for years, forced to relive it every time Houston comes to town and chants of “cheater” echo through the stands. Now, the Yankees are supposedly thinking about signing one of the scandal’s poster boys? Why stop there? Maybe bring back Carlos BeltrĂĄn and name him head of player ethics.

Imagine the first time Bregman steps up to the plate in pinstripes. The boos would rain down like they were auditioning for a horror movie. Yankee fans would need their vocal cords insured. The Bleacher Creatures would invent chants so brutal, even Philly fans would take notes. Someone might try to hurl a replica trash can onto the field.

And what about Bregman’s apology for the cheating scandal? Oh, yes, the heartfelt “I’m sorry” that came with all the sincerity of a politician denying a scandal. Yankee fans didn’t buy it then, and they sure won’t forget it now. This is a fanbase that holds grudges like they’re heirlooms. Goose Gossage still complains about pitch counts, for crying out loud.

Look, signing Bregman might make sense in some sterile baseball vacuum where numbers and metrics are all that matter. But this is the Yankees, where tradition, pride, and sticking it to Houston are sacred. Yankee fans don’t want a Gold Glove third baseman if it means they have to cheer for a guy they’ve spent years heckling. They want championships—but they want to win them their way. And that way doesn’t include welcoming an Astro, especially one as synonymous with the cheating scandal as Bregman.

So, sure, go ahead, Yankees. Sign Alex Bregman. Just don’t be surprised if, by Opening Day, the Bleacher Creatures are wearing Mets hats out of spite.

LOOK WHO'S COMING TO YES IN 2024!

Source: Charles Wenzelberg/NY Post

I love listening to former baseball players banter in the booth, providing the on the field perspective that is much needed today. I especially like the old school mentality in this new, modern day of baseball. And this year, if all goes well, we will get the chance to hear another veteran ball player give his color commentary on the game.

“Bern, baby, Bern!” on Yankees telecasts?" According to the New York Post, "YES and Yankees legend Bernie Williams have had talks about Williams joining Yankees broadcasts this coming season, according to sources." That means the talented, musical former center fielder and multi-year World Series Champion will bring a little more life into Yankee broadcasts this year.

"Williams could be a candidate to join lead pre- and postgame host Bob Lorenz and top studio analyst Jack Curry on some nights. If Williams were to come aboard, YES would likely first try him in studio before deciding to increase his workload," reported The Post.

Source: Wall Street Journal

As the Yankees build up their roster in 2024, it will be good to have some fresh blood in the booth. Admittedly, there were some failed experiments including Carlos Beltran and Cameron Maybin, who only lasted a season. But something tells me Bernie will be different. He could offer that Todd Frazier appeal and with his creative side, offering something new to the reports.

Excitement is coming to Yankee Stadium this fall both on the field and in the reports. I hope Bernie makes the cut and we get to hear him and see him come this spring.

TODD FRAZIER MAKES A YANKEES COMEBACK OF SORTS

It's true! But maybe not the way you are expecting. Todd Frazier is returning to the Yankees but his playing days are over. Now, he will join YES Network as a studio analyst and I have to admit that I am intrigued, he's not someone that comes to mind for this opportunity.

When Jack Curry broke the news over the weekend I will admit I had to do a double-take. I blinked to make sure I was reading the tweet correctly and sure enough, my eyes did not deceive me!

I am not sure why I never considered Frazier for an analyst spot, but now that I think about it, this makes sense! Frazier has previously called Little League World Series games for ESPN and recently launched a new streaming MLB show called "Foul Territory" with other former MLB stars. You can check out the show HERE and the shows have interested unfiltered conversations, lively debates and unique player perspectives on the games hottest topics. He's a perfect fit for an analyst role on YES Network.

Not to mention, he's got fan appeal. Frazier wasn't a Yankee for very long, but when the Yankees picked him up in 2017 he made a big difference. He helped the Yankees get to the ALCS and who can forget his "thumbs down" celebration that became a huge rally cry in the Bronx that season. I actually miss that.

We don't know what Frazier's new role will be exactly, but I can already guarantee that he will be a million times better than Carlos Beltran who we thankfully will never have to listen to him announce another Yankee game again. This is already a major upgrade, and I feel confident saying that without hearing him talking about Yankee baseball yet.

Welcome back to the Bronx, Frazier!

BELTRAN'S BACK WITH A NEW GIG... INSERT GROAN HERE

My moral compass is disappointed right now, but my ears will be happy now that I won't have to listen to Carlos Beltran in a broadcasting booth anymore. I guess I will take this as a very small win.

In case you missed the news HERE, Beltran won't be broadcasting on YES Network anymore, but he will be serving an "unspecified role" for the New York Mets. He finally gets ANOTHER chance that actually might get him closer to the opportunity he REALLY wants. Last year I wrote HEY BELTRAN - QUIT CRYING FROM THE BOOTH! because I really believed that he was using his broadcasting gig as a stepping stone to something else. It appears I am right.

Part of me is REALLY happy that I won't have to listen to his terrible broadcasting "skills" and I won't have to hit the mute button a hundred times but I don't like the fact that this guy disgraced the game and he is weaseling his was back towards what he wants. He's not there yet....but I think he will get there.

Here's what I mean. Buck Showalter is in the second year of his three year contract managing the Mets. This gives Beltran time to learn more doing whatever he is going to do in the front office and be groomed to take over managing in 2025. He's inching his way back to that spot in the dugout that he really wants and that the Mets also want him to have. They wanted their All-Star fan favorite to take over three years ago before Beltran's cheating past derailed his post player career path.

But obviously, it hasn't derailed him for long. It will only be a matter of time before he puts that Mets jersey back on. I said last year I was going to count down the days until I didn't have to listen to his babbling nonsense, and the time has finally come. One small victory, but the guy is still a disgraceful cheater.

Now Beltran - get the hell out of the YES Network booth. Adios!

BASEBALL HALL OF FAME 2023 LOOKS SCARY

I look forward to the Hall of Fame every year and last year was rather uninteresting for me so this year should be better, right? I'm not so sure about that.

There's a lot of controversy on this ballot, and when you look at some of the names you understand why. Other names may not have the controversy but when you read some of the names you laugh a little. I mean, who is voting Jacoby Ellsbury into the Hall of Fame? That's a name Yankee fans don't even want to hear ever again.

Then there are the exciting names but not for the right reasons. We have several candidates on the ballot that were either busted for cheating or admitted to doing it. Some of the cheating scandals are fresh in everyone's memory, including the beat writers who vote and some are further in the past....but that shouldn't matter.

At least it doesn't matter in my world. Alex Rodriguez is on the ballot for the second time after receiving 34% of the votes last year and it looks like he should get more votes this year but will likely fall short of the 75% needed. He had so much talent, and we all know the choices he made....but so do the writers. I think he would've had a lot of accomplishments without cheating and he could've made it to the Hall the right way.

Then we have Carlos Beltran who is on the ballot for the first time but his role in the Astros cheating scandal is still on beat writers minds so it will be interesting to see exactly how many votes he gets. I still appreciate what he did for us when he was a Yankee, but when he went to the Astros and was the mastermind behind the scandal it made me lose respect for him.

I can't get excited about either Beltran or Rodriguez being on the ballot. I guess it's a good thing I don't have a vote in all of this. I value integrity too much to give them the honor of a place in the Hall of Fame. It's hard for me to see a name and get excited about it this year but I am anxious to hear all about each beat writer's choices in the future.

THE ASTROS OWNER & FRONT OFFICE ARE BAD PEOPLE

You knew it would come out.  We all knew it was bad, but the MLB's slap on the wrist was just not enough.  People should have been fired, banned, removed forever!! But the relationship between Rob Manfred and Jim Crane was too much make the banning a real life thing, and so MLB and Manfred made a fairy tale about how they were wrong, but they will apologize and MLB will move on.  It was all bullshit, and we all knew it. But we the fans have no control over that. We will never stop going to games and never stop loving baseball, and MLB top brass knew that.

So what happened? We the fans turned on the bad guys when we showed up to games and we will continue to humilate them all until the day they retire. Because that's all we can really do.  Correa. Altuve. Bregman. The others got their jobs back... Hinch, Cora, and even Carlos Beltran became a commentator on YES.  But none of them should have been back.

Meanwhile, a dope named Jeff Lunhow was the only one who lost a job and still hasn't returned or even works. Why? Well, not because he did the garbage banging and came up with the scam and executed it himself, but because he erased evidence that pointed fingers in his own organization.

Explain this to me? Explain how Lunhow loses everything and all these other assholes still work in the MLB? It's the wicked web of Jim Crane and Rob Manfred and their friendship... and it's absolute bullshit.

Mark Powell of Fansided writes:

"Jeff Luhnow, the general manager at the time who oversaw this entire mess, has yet to get another job in baseball.

Luhnow, it turns out, tried to warn those within the Astros organization of an impending investigation before the fact. Those close to Luhnow even suggest he deleted data from his own phone, and insinuated others to do the same...Seemingly every reminder and/or update to this cheating scandal makes matters worse. It's another layer and reminder that Houston knew exactly what they were doing, and continued to sweep it under the rug."

Jim Crane is a bad dude. Luhnow? Sure, he is too, but this just proves that even the owner was in on it, and cutting Lunhow loose and creating another narrative is the way to go and that's what Crane is trying to do. Don't know what I mean?

Remember when Cashman came out back in March (CBS Sports) saying:  "The only thing that stopped (us) was something that was so illegal and horrific. So I get offended when I start hearing we haven't been to the World Series since '09. Because I'm like, 'Well, I think we actually did it the right way.' Pulled it down, brought it back up. Drafted well, traded well, developed well, signed well. The only thing that derailed us was a cheating circumstance that threw us off."

He was ripping the Astros and it was amazing. Jim Crane shot back, from Bleacher Report): “I found his comments to be extremely strange,’’ Crane told USA Today's Bob Nightengale. “There’s the letter, and you were doing it, too. You were there dude. What are you talking about? If I was one of the teams, and I knew our team was doing it [cheating], I’d keep my mouth shut and just go about our business."

Crane sounds like a 5 year old. "I pulled his hair because he pulled mine!" Guilty. Guilty. Guilty. Go in the corner, you dunce.

By the way, the letter?  CBS Sports writes:  "In that letter, it notes that the Yankees were fined for sign-stealing behavior from 2015-16, but also clears them from wrongdoing"

Whatever Crane.

What we know these days is damaging and guys like Crane should be punished. Mandfred and the MLB should reopen this investigation on the Luhnow phone stuff. It's bad. But they won't.

As long as we are in a MLB world of stupid rule changes and relationships to make more money for the commissioner and the baseball owners, us fans will continue to shout but not be heard.  It's terrible what's happened to the MLB, but what's worse is that this Astros front office found one guy to truly punish and destroy, while the rest of these assholes can continue to live their life. The punishment did not fit the crime.  It's shameful.

HEY BELTRAN - QUIT CRYING FROM THE BOOTH!

Carlos Beltran is back, or trying to get back to a job in baseball that he actually wants. For now he has to be satisfied with calling the game from the broadcast booth while I am very unsatisfied with him on my tv screen. This is just a stepping stone though for what comes next. He just isn't admitting that.

Although, Beltran says he's "not sure," you can read more HERE. Who is really buying that though? Not me. Not from Mr. Cheater himself. It's all just an act and he wants everyone to believe in his words and his broadcasting 'talent.' Here's what he wants everyone to believe:

"Honestly, I’m taking this step-by-step," Beltran said of his future in the game. "I think if I show interest, there are gonna be opportunities. Right now, I’m satisfied with what I’m doing. I want to give [broadcasting] a shot and see where it goes. … But I might want to really pursue being back [in the dugout]. I have to make a decision and decide what I want. Right now, I don’t really know. But I love being around baseball."

Translation: I know there will be interest, but I need to buy some time. Until then, this is how I keep myself relevant. I want to get back in the dugout, I want that jersey on my back. I remember how it felt when I was introduced as manager of the Mets. I just need to wait a little while longer to get what I really want.

Beltran still feels singled out from the 2017 ASSTROS cheating scandal and he really wishes we would all stop reminding him about it.
"I don’t really want to get deep into that. I would not go anywhere with that. I hope people have seen how I feel about how everything played out and the person I am. What happened, everyone knows what happened. It was a team. The fact I was in trouble [as the only player], that’s the hard part. But I’ve got to move forward."

Translation: I'm not going to talk about this anymore. This was done by the entire team, not just me. I have done my time and served my suspension. I was singled out and I just want to everyone to stop talking about it.

At the end of this awful YES Network broadcasting experiment there will be another managing opportunity for crying Beltran. Everyone else in this scandal got a second chance and he will too. He has no skills in the booth at all, so if he wants to stay in baseball what else is he going to do? Some stupid team is going to take a chance. Until then....I count down the days until I no longer have to hear his babbling nonsense. THAT truly can't come soon enough.
