Yahoo Sports writes:
"Craig
Sager, the legendary sideline reporter and NBA announcer whose
years-long battle with acute myeloid leukemia inspired countless fans
and basketball lovers, died Thursday. He was 65.

'Craig
Sager was a beloved member of the Turner family for more than three
decades and he has been a true inspiration to us all,' Turner President

We here at Bleeding Yankee Blue have had our own fun with Sager over the years, always commenting on his loud outfits, and sometimes silly commentary, but ultimately, we loved the man because he was truly a genius out there. (Read
WHAT'S CRAIG SAGER WEARING? ALCS GAME 3 for a solid example.) He did plenty a post season game for TBS and were front and center here at BYB trying to match his outfits, poke alittle fun and compliment when needed.
It's a sad day for the NBA, but it is definitely a sad day for us here at BYB as well. We admired him. He appreciated him... and when he wasn't part of the baseball post season, I researched why and found out that he was battling cancer. At that point, the silly jabs didn't mean anything any more. It was about a man trying to get well so he could enjoy life again. He didn't and I feel so terrible for his family right now. Sager was a great man, full of life, extremely bright... both in his mind, and his wardrobe. In short.... he sucked us in, and he will be deeply missed.
