Just a quick note about the Yankees winning tonight against the Orioles. First off, with this win means 2 in a row as the Yanks beat the Red Sox in the last game of their series and now come out to hold the Orioles to a 2-1 victory tonight.
Tonight's game was all done with pitching. Ivan Nova was superb... I didn't see that one coming, and of course the combination of Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman were lights out against the O's who looked like they struggled offensively tonight.
Not gonna lie... Yankee bats didn't do much either, but thank God for our bridge to Chapman. And this is what I wanted to share with you. A terrific stat from ESPN that I just saw and didn't realize. Check this out...
Nice. Makes you really wonder why, if you have such a stellar thing going in our pen why the need to "sell" for prospects makes much sense. Just stay the course with those guys... try and cut the dead weight and get rid of some of the veterans..@Yankees are 18-1 this season when the trio of Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman pitch in same game.— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) July 19, 2016

I know all about "value" and what you get in return for a guy like Miller... I get it. But for Christ's sake, the dude loves it in New York and doesn't want to leave! Keep him here! Have these guys dominate and cross your fingers until the old guys come off the books. We have nothing to lose at this point. If we play like we did the last few days... we'll be fine, and then next year we'll see Greg Bird and the Iron Giant, Aaron Judge.
Here comes change folks.
Final: Yankees 2 - Orioles 1
