CASHMAN STILL IRRITATED OVER ASTROS CHEATING SCANDAL

Remember when the Houston Astros cheated their way to a World Series win? Brian Cashman does, and he is still unhappy with how the MLB handled the situation.

There is a little bit of frustration,” Cashman said. “Frustration after the fact that Jomboy, for instance, put out online and decoded after the A’s Mike Fiers revealed what was transpiring. Frustration in, ‘Wow, we knew something was going on and we complained about it.’ But we didn’t have the fact of what the specifics [were] and once you saw it playing out, once it was decoded, you say, ‘How could we have not have figured that out?’”

When the Astros were stealing signs the Yankees tried to figure out what was going wrong. They did not know how they were conveying the signals and are now frustrated because it seems clear that the whole industry knew but them.

Out of respect for the sport and the commissioner's office, Cashman decided not to be very vocal about the issue. At the end of the day, the decision was out of his own hands and was careful of being critical. 

“Is there frustration in what transpired and how it potentially denied us further play in the postseason? Of course there is. Do I have strong feelings on that? Of course I do. Does it serve me or the Yankees or the industry of baseball by at times letting my guard down and sharing how I really feel from that and the emotion that comes from that? I’m not sure it’s helpful to the process.”

Cashman admitted that even after the punishment was given, irritation still lingered. Even as he acknowledged that Houston fired manager AJ Hinch and GM Jeff Luhnow and Boston canned Alex Cora as a result of the scandal.

“They clearly benefited from [the system],’’ Cashman said of the Astros. “They’ve been disciplined for it now and as we move forward, we just have to move forward and not look in the past because there’s nothing we can do about it.’’

I guess it is safe to say that the Yankees will forgive, but they will not forget. I know BYB won't forgive OR forget. We'll keep banging that drum.

ASTROS CATCHER EVAN GATTIS JUST MADE THE ASTROS CHEATING SCANDAL WORSE

I appreciate solid opinions. But I don't understand getting caught doing something wrong, having an overwhelming pressure surrounding you for doing that something wrong, and then adding fuel to the fire and then backtracking like "I didn't realize" I did something wrong, or "You got the wrong idea about me, I'm a good dude, I just thought it was funny", or like in the case of that other loser Lance McCullers Jr... "I'm doing a good deed! That deflects the pressure from me be being a cheater, don't it?" Read more on that here... MESSAGE TO LANCE MCCULLERS JR.--- YOU JUST PLAYED YOURSELF, LOSER!

Message to these Astros players everywhere... you cheated... YOU ALL CHEATED. Take your lumps, stop trying to talk your way out of it. We all know, including you that the punishment doesn't fit the crime and the smartest thing you can do during this Coronavirus pandemic is shut the F up because the world forgot about you for a bit, but not any more thanks to Evan Gattis, you piece of garbage.

We can all thank the Houston restaurant the Flying Saucer for this, because subliminally I think it tricked Gattis and it backfired bit time! They wanted publicity. Gattis fell into the trap and now he needs to pay the price of being stupid.

Not surprisingly, Fiers’ critics also include at least one player he shared the clubhouse with during his Astros’ career. Former catcher Evan Gattis took to Twitter to shill a “snitches gets stitches’ glass being sold at a Houston-area restaurant.

The phrase "snitches get stitches" implies that anyone who is considered a snitch should be physically beaten up. The inclusion of Fiers’ likeness speaks for itself. Apparently it’s a popular item in Houston.

The Flying Saucer reported the glass quickly sold out, with Gattis receiving the last one available.However, given the circumstances and the implications, it’s a purchase Gattis may have been wiser to keep to himself."

Then this Gattis moron tried to justify it...

The way the “public” feels about us cheating is how I felt when I at least assumed that other people were cheating against us. No excuses. But I understand everyone’s anger. Doesn’t exactly put humpty dumpty back together again.

Here's the thing that these losers do not get.

The idea of cheating in the Major League's IS a thing, but the strategic, orchestrated, technological way the Astros did it was incredibly wrong.  These Astros and their fans are not registering the fact that it was the WAY they did it.  I'm not saying other teams don't cheat. I'm saying it was found out by MLB investigators that the ASTROS DID CHEAT and stole a championship in the process. And then... they kept cheating because they weren't caught in 2017.

They are tainted... like... FOREVER!

In the end, losers like Gattis… like McCullers... like Bregman and all those other idiots... they need to just shut up and be lucky you haven't been banned from the game for life.

They will never learn... and that's great for blogs like Bleeding Yankee Blue.

MIKE FIERS: "WE CHEATED AS A TEAM"

Hey, if you win as a team you lose as a team. And last time I checked, if you're the Astros, no doubt you cheat as a team too.

That's what the hero in this, now A's pitcher Mike Fiers has to say. NBC Sports here:

"When asked Sunday by the San Francisco Chronicle's Susan Slusser if he wants to respond to Astros shortstop Carlos Correa saying Fiers "should be man enough" to say Houston second baseman Jose Altuve didn't use the team's trash can method, the A's pitcher declined to comment. But he did add one quote as he walked away. "We [the Astros] cheated as a team," Fiers said to Slusser."

Something to think about as we are definitely sure this story is NOT going away any time soon.

CARLOS CORREA JUST DUG THE ASTROS DEEPER IN PANIC HELL!!!

The best thing the Astros players could do right now is shut the fuck up.  I mean... why not... they didn't do anything to be punished, so why do they need to defend themselves? But no... Astros players are yapping way too much, trying to defend their teammates, denying, denying, denying and even throwing each other under the bus in the hopes to protect others. In short, they are feeling the pressure big time and they are reacting.  It's wonderful.

It's hard to get caught in lies and deceit, because what comes next is panic and that's what's happening now.  Jose Altuve's newest excuse for not taking his jersey off is because of a new tattoo... ANOTHER LIE.

And then of course Carlos Correa is speaking out... and digging the Astros deeper into their grave. Listen to this bozo:

CODY BELLINGER'S BLAST AGAINST THE ASTROS IS WHAT INTEGRITY IS ALL ABOUT

Cody Bellinger isn't some slouch. It's a great baseball player. And you know what? He does it without cheating.

Bellinger is the new, most important voice in this entire Astros scandal and he will help BYB and many of the baseball players annoyed, disgusted and aggravated with how the Astros handled their playing since 2017... and hopefully it will force Major League Baseball and the Player's union to follow in our footsteps and want to reopen their investigation and look deeper into how to punish and perhaps ban for life the Houston Astros players. Players that are adults... that can make smart decisions of right and wrong.  In short, Bellinger is a man of honor, of character and of integrity... and we need more like him to step forward.  Why? I'll tell you why... because cheating is wrong. Lying is wrong. And these players MUST be punished severely. There is no way around that.

I was listening to the Michael Kay Show yesterday. Both Mike and Don were teeing off on the Astros, but they played the Bellinger bite and it's just so powerful.


Now here's the thing, Bellinger is right about all of it.  Cheating is wrong, cheaters need to be punished, there should be no respect toward those Astros players... and you know what? Major League Baseball needs to act and not sit on their hands.

MLB and Rob Manfred have a real problem. The Player's Union and Tony Clark? They have a real problem on their hands... and that's because Cody Bellinger is rocking the baseball world right now. Thank god.  Look... here's an example of why cheating needs to be handled swiftly in the MLB. Cheating in the real world face consequences...

A story out of Atlanta. A story from the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

"Thirty state troopers were fired Wednesday after a months-long investigation confirmed allegations of widespread cheating at the Georgia State Patrol training academy....

The terminations will have a widespread and immediate impact. An already understaffed, and graying, agency will have to scramble to cover the sudden loss of four percent of its workforce, with the next round of trooper trainees still months away from graduation. The GSP is now down to roughly 800 employees, well short of its budgeted workforce."

This is real life folks. People that are supposed to be protecting regular people like you and me were fired... FOR CHEATING.  There were no deals being made. Instead, even though the agency was understaffed, they did what was right... they fired the cheaters as to not taint the entire agency.

Now think about what MLB did.  They are letting ballplayers play, even though they cheated the game, the fans and changed the course of seasons and careers of many, many players.  Disgusting!

Another one. This story comes from Bloomberg:

"Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is dismissing about 20 analysts globally in offices including London and New York after discovering they had breached rules on internal training tests, said people familiar with the matter. 

The employees, who had been working in the investment bank’s securities division, have either already been dismissed or are in the process of leaving the bank, said the people, who asked not to be identified as the matter is private. "

So let me get this straight. These analysts breached RULES and were removed from Goldman Sachs. In other words, they broke the rules, they were caught and they were let go as to not taint the establishment. In other words Goldman Sachs wants good, honest people working for them. People that follow the rules to make the company a success.  Now think about what MLB and the Player's union did. They had cheaters, plenty of them with the Astros... and they made a deal to apologize for their wrongdoing and then move on. In the process, the apologies and punishments were "WEAK" as Cody Bellinger said.  The entire league and especially the Astros team are a bunch of losers.

Another one. NBC:

"The Hallmark Channel dumped Lori Loughlin in the wake of the college cheating scandal, Sephora has parted ways with Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade Giannulli and the first lawsuits targeting elite colleges involved have been filed."

A big time actress fired from a gig. Why? BECAUSE SHE CHEATED TO BENEFIT HER DAUGHTER AND HER FAMILY.  Sounds familiar. Sounds like the Astros. CHEATING TO BENEFIT THEMSELVES AND THEIR FAMILY. And by family... we mean the team.  AND YES, NOTHING WAS DONE TO THE ASTROS PLAYERS? WHY?

Are you hearing me Rob Manfred? I mean... did you hear Jim Crane the other day? What a dummy! That may have been the dumbest news conference I have ever seen.

Crane's a tool. These players? They all need to get punished. Crane can say that it was good that the manager and GM got what they deserved all he wants by getting fired. Here's the thing... Crane's the owner. You KNOW he knows what's going on.  And then it trickles down to the players. The players play. The players are not 10 year old kids that are convinced to cheat on a little league field.

These are Major League players. Adults. Adults that can make their own decisions as to what is right and what is wrong. THEY NEED TO BE PUNISHED. Why? Because they cheated.  They are not sorry... they were forced to come out and do a press conference.  And you know? If they didn't get caught, they wouldn't be doing any of this.  Instead, guys like Alex Bregman, Jose Altuve and George Springer, who suddenly had his stutter return are all running scared because they were caught. They must be nervous. They are despicable human beings.

Cheating is what it is. It's taking advantage of a trick that someone else is not aware of to benefit yourself. And if it works, it spreads. The Astros are disgusting people because everyone knows that adults can make decisions on what's right and what's wrong.  And now more former Astros are speaking out because of this... and it started with a guy like Bellinger. The MLB leader is angry and now more are following. That means one thing...

The Astros Cheating Scandal is not going away. 

USA Today:

"It was Day 3 of spring training Friday, and a day after the Houston Astros’ apologies, there were two players in the New York Mets’ camp, Jake Marisnick and J.D. Davis, having press conferences to express remorse for their actions... 

“Of course, it’s regrettable, Davis said, who was a rookie on the 2017 Astros’ team. “I feel ashamed to be a part of it. It’s terrible for baseball.’’ 

Said Marisnick: “I feel terrible about it. You definitely knew something was going too far. Lines were definitely crossed. This is a bad deal for baseball. I feel bad about it.’’ 

Davis spoke earlier in the day in front of his locker, and said he may have been intimidated as a rookie to speak up. Yet, neither made excuses, either. “I was a rookie, and I was going up and down the system,’’ Davis said, “and I was fighting for my life. … As a 24-year-old at the time, I was pretty star-struck at the time being around some of the veteran guys and being around the big-league clubhouse and everything. I had never been part of a major-league clubhouse. Maybe what they did was the norm, I have no idea. I had never been in another big-league clubhouse...But looking back at the situation and the details of it. It’s terrible."

Punishment needs to happen, folks. Banning players for life? It needs to happen.  The fact that The MLB Player's union and MLB decided the make a deal is so outrageous to the rest of the world... because in the rest of the world, good, important people who make stupid cheating mistakes must be punished. I cited 3 examples, but there are hundreds. Yet, the MLB players on the Astros? They get to skate.  It's the most disgusting part of baseball right now and is leading every headline.

Just to be clear... Bleeding Yankee Blue will be calling Rob Manfred's office Monday demanding he get on the phone with me and answer my questions. I will then be calling Tony Clark's office as well.  We will work to get answers because something must happen to these Astros players.  

Thank God for guys like Mike Fiers… like Cody Bellinger for speaking out.  Let's hope more follows.

We need to get these Astros punished SEVERELY. It's the only way to fix this and clean up the game.

CHARLIE MORTON FEELS THE PRESSURE TO COME CLEAN

Ex-Astros pitcher Charlie Morton admits of the team's wrongdoing in the sign-stealing scandal... speaks freely and wishes he did more to stop it.  This means one thing... guilt is everywhere with this Astros team… and Major League Baseball and the player's union better get together quick and figure out a way to overrule their closed investigation of not punishing Astros players....AND IN FACT PUNISH THEM. Pathetic.

Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times has this:

"...when Morton learned of the scheme his Houston teammates were using to steal signs and tip off their hitters to what pitch was coming, when he heard the actual banging on a trash can to relay the info, he didn’t say or do anything.

And that, he said Saturday in addressing the cheating scandal for the first time, is his primary remorse. “'I was aware of the banging. … Being in the dugout you could hear it. I don’t know when it dawned on me, but you knew it was going on," Morton said. “Personally, I regret not doing more to stop it. I don’t know what that would have entailed. I think the actions would have been somewhat extreme to stop it. That’s a hypothetical.”

Extreme because it was widespread, some of his Houston players and coaches actively participating, others complicit by allowing it to continue, all the way to a World Series championship. Extreme because it felt like more than one man could do anything about. “I certainly have thought about it a lot because it negatively impacted the game, and people’s perception of the game, the fans, opposing players. And that doesn’t sit well with me,” 

Morton, 36, said during the Rays Fan Fest at Tropicana Field. “Where I was at the time, I don’t know where I was. “Because what’s wrong is wrong. "

WRONG IS WRONG. Remember those words Rob Manfred. You are so afraid to do the wrong thing with punishing these players, so you do nothing... AND THAT'S WRONG TOO.

And Tony Clark. What the hell happened to you?  You have players doing bad stuff and you sit on your hands and don't try to right the game? You were a player yourself! This isn't protecting players for bad contracts. This is protecting cheaters that made it to the biggest stage and baseball to win it all by cheating!!! Take a stand... do something. Punish them.

I don't know what will happen with the Astros moving forward, but I can tell you what I think I know.... they can and will never be trusted. If they go on a winning streak, they will be questioned. If they are losers, then people will wonder if they can't play without cheating. I do know this... it's a God damn shame, almost as bad as the Black Sox scandal... and the league and player's union did... NOTHING!

Incredibly disappointing. I applaud guys like Charlie Morton and Mike Fiers. They are heroes speaking freely.

NO ONE SHOULD CARE ABOUT DISGRACED DALLAS KEUCHEL'S FAKE APOLOGY

Someone has finally come out from hiding! It's about damn time ladies and gentleman. These players have been running and hiding for too long. It's come to come out and face the music, cheaters! We have our first "apology" and it comes from cheating former Cy Young Dallas Keuchel.

Multiple sources are reporting this so-called "apology" but I am going to go with MLB.com HERE. All news outlets are reporting this as an "apology" but I heard no apology. I heard a "sorry not sorry" and here is how I interpret some of his quotes:

"I think first and foremost, apologies should be in order ... for everyone on the team. When stuff was going on, it was never intended to be what it's made to be right now."

Literal translation: I am ONLY SORRY THAT I GOT CAUGHT. Now that I am with the Chicago White Sox I don't want to be a distraction. My new team probably expects this from me. Oh yeah...Jim Crane said he expects me to apologize too even though I don't play for his organization anymore. I'm trying to not make people hate me forever. The cheating was only supposed to be a temporary thing but we just couldn't stop. I didn't think I would be part of a huge baseball scandal!

"It’s just what the state of baseball was at that point and time. Was it against the rules? Yes, it was. I personally am sorry for what’s come about, the whole situation. But it is what it is, and we have to move past that. I never thought anything would have come like it did, and I myself am sorry. We have to move on.

Literal translation: This is how the game is played now. I only helped contribute to that. I disgraced the game. I AM a disgrace, but that's how the game is played now. I am not sorry for what I did, only that I got caught. I don't want to talk about this anymore so can we change the subject? K Thanks!

"But during the course of the playoffs in ’17, everybody was using multiple signs. For factual purposes, when there’s nobody on base, when in the history of Major League Baseball has there been multiple signs? You can go back and watch film of every team in the playoffs. There was probably six out of eight teams using multiple signs."

Literal translation:  My gosh, stop picking on the Astros! It's not like we were the only ones cheating. Other teams were doing it too! I just can't say anything that will take the focus off of my team cheating...but you should go check it out, k? Everyone cheats, you just want to focus on the Astros!

"I could tell you, not every game there was signs being stolen, not like every game we had everything going on."
Literal translation: Oh my gosh, shut up! It's not like we cheated EVERY GAME. It was only A LOT of them. I mean, we only did it at home AND for big match-ups AND for Sunday Night ESPN games, AND against division rivals. That's all I swear!

"You are pushing 185, 200 games, and it sucks to the extent of the clubhouse rule that was broken. I mean, that’s where I’ll go with that. I don’t really have much else to say about Mike."

Literal translation: DUDE, Mike Fiers broke "the code" and now since he opened his big mouth I have to try and run damage control. You suck, Fiers! We aren't cool anymore. You should know better and thanks to your big mouth I am in trouble!

You get the point. But honestly....Keuchel you are a pathetic human being. So is Bob Nightengale again too because he was stupid enough to try and defend you after he tried to defend Carlos Beltran. This only proves....you can't make some things up!

Of course, I had to respond:

Do we want to take bets on who "apologizes" next? Bottom line here is Keuchel is a pathetic, cheating human being and he can keep his fake-ass apologies to himself. Oh and Bob Nightengale wears egg on his face again for his stupid tweet!

I'm all for someone standing up, admitting fault and accepting consequences for their actions....but that is not what Keuchel did. No respect for this circus show. Will anyone give a sincere apology? You know there is more to come....and we won't stop covering this.

DEFENDING ASTROS CHEATING COULD RAILROAD JESSICA MENDOZA'S CAREER

Remember when we wrote JESSICA MENDOZA'S BIG MOUTH WILL SEAL BELTRAN'S FATE
the other day and shortly after that Carlos Beltran got canned by the Mets? After all, it was really stupid for a Mets adviser to come out and defend illegal activity in a clubhouse as long as no one on the outside knew about it.

She tried to slam Mike Fiers for exposing the concocted scheme by the Astros, but in the end, the nation spoke out... calling Fiers a hero and Mendoza a ridiculous coward. Mendoza tried to backtrack knowing she was in trouble, but it was too late. In fact, I'm going to suggest that if the Mets were smart, they'd fire her. Now, last time I checked you can't fire someone for being stupid, but you can fire a person for making your organization look bad.  She did that to the Mets... she needs to go.

But don't forget, she also works for ESPN. Well, the rumor is that at this hour, she could be soon replaced... with the great David Cone.

NJ.com writes:

"The Post has learned, an intriguing option has emerged — YES Network’s David Cone. Cone and ESPN have been in discussions about potential roles, including SNB, sources said. ... If Mendoza is replaced, ESPN executives stressed it will not be because of her comments on TV Thursday in which, among other things, she said it was ‘tough to swallow’ that former Astros pitcher Mike Fiers…"

Don't believe that ESPN isn't doing this for the Fiers comments, folks.  Truth is no one wants to be connected to the sign-stealing scandal, because it's so disgusting, so untrustworthy and so wrong, attaching ones self or organization to it or anyone associated with it will just make you look bad too.


It's like the cheese touch.  Stay away or you'll be known as the kid who touched the cheese. ESPN doesn't want to be associated with cheese touching... uh, er... Mendoza.  And trust me, it has everything to do with her stupid comments.

JIM CRANE KNEW & MADE MILLIONS OFF OF ASTROS CHEATING ANTICS

There is no way a smart baseball guy like Jim Crane, owner of the Houston Astros, didn't know of the sign-stealing mechanism that his team was using and created.  He not only knew, he ignored it, because that franchise was making him more money than ever by the 2018 season.  And when money talks, things don't seem do bad, even though they are... even though they go against the rules... even though those bad things are ruining the integrity of the game. This guy's a greedy scumbag.

 In short, when you are raking in big dollars for cheating and if you don't speak about it publicly and instead keep internal in the confines of the clubhouse walls... ANYTHING goes.  That's what moron Jessica Mendoza, the Mets adviser was suggesting when she went after Mike Fiers for exposing it... and that's what Jim Crane was doing when he acted like he knew nothing about it.

The bottom line is this though... Crane knew, because he had to fire his GM Luhnow and manger AJ Hinch to show face.  Some can say that they were involved in the daily baseball operations and Crane's just the money guy. But that's my point. It goes much deeper than Hinch and Luhnow.

Jim Crane needs to be investigated. The players need to be investigated and so does Reid Ryan, the Astros president of operations. You know... the one that moved the camera in centerfield "to get a better view for advertising during home games." I'm paraphrasing there, but that's basically what he said.

In essence, the advertisers came, they filled Jim Crane's pockets with a ton of jack, and at the same time, Astros players were concocting schemes to wait on certain pitches against their opponent to make their own big money at the end of each season with big numbers for home games.

The problem runs deep in Houston. It's disgusting and the King cheater in all of this is Jim Crane.  Rob Manfred and MLB needs to make a statement that is two-fold over the next few days. IT'S A MUST. If Manfred doesn't, we know it's a coverup.

1. Manfred needs to speak to the buzzer scandal that has spread like wildfire across the media and the league, tainting the game and destroying the integrity of it.

2. Manfred must force Jim Crane to sell his team. They are trash. They have no respect for the game or their opponent. They don't come to play hard... they come to cheat a win whenever they can.  That has become clear over the past 24 hours watching players like Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman and Carlos Correa block comments on their Instagram. The Astros are hiding and are on the run. 

They are guilty... EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. But it starts at the top, folks.  MLB must remove Jim Crane too.

JESSICA MENDOZA'S BIG MOUTH WILL SEAL BELTRAN'S FATE

You're really gonna call out a major league ballplayer for doing the right thing and shedding light on the sign-stealing scandal, Jessica Mendoza? Really? You're really gonna screw over your Mets team, kiddo.

I guess we just like to keep secrets now. I guess we don't care about steroids in baseball, using technology to steal signs... but betting on baseball... that's bad.  If anything, these cheating techniques being exposed is going to clean up the sport. But I guess Jessica Mendoza likes the game all fouled up.  She needs to be quiet.

The New York Post writes:

"Mendoza, the Mets special assistant and ESPN announcer, criticized former Astros pitcher Mike Fiers for his role in exposing Houston‘s sign-stealing system, which led to the firings of manager A.J. Hinch, general manager Jeff Luhnow and Red Sox manager Alex Cora.

'Honestly, it made me sad for the sport that this is how it all got found out,' Mendoza said on ESPN’s “Golic and Wingo” on Thursday.

'This wasn’t something that MLB naturally investigated or other teams complained about because they naturally heard about and then investigation happened. It came from within. It was a player that was a part of it, that benefitted from it during the regular season when he was a part of the team. When I first heard about it, it hits you like any teammate would. It’s something that you don’t do.'"

First off, you're not a teammate Jessica. I don't even get that. Secondly...what, being a snitch is bad but cheating isn't if it's quiet and contained within a team clubhouse? Are we seriously suggesting this?

Look, you want to "steal signs", you get to second, you see what the catcher's signaling and you look for a pattern that you can relay to your teammates in the hopes to find the opponent's weaknesses. That's clean baseball. Sometimes it works, sometimes it a guess and whatever man... the goal is to win fair and square anyway, so why are these top athletes even going further than that? I'll never know. But that kind of "sign stealing" has been going on since the beginning of time.

But that's not what we're talking about. She thinks that really bad behavior, setting up devices, having a code that can be relayed to the batter... that's alright. You know...TECHNOLOGY. A PLANNED, STRATEGIC OPERATION, that's allowed even though the rules suggest the opposite. Jessica thinks that as long as it's among the players, quiet, even though illegal, THAT'S OK. But they way... SHE'S AN ADVISOR FOR THE METS! What Mets front office person thought it was a good idea to send her out and talk about this... because I'll tell you something, Jessica Mendoza just made it worse for the Mets!

Mike Fiers, now an opponent is a God damn hero for blowing this out of the water.  It's the biggest cheating scandal since steroids. It's bigger these days than Shoeless "Joe" Jackson.

Oh yeah... and that was known as the Black Sox scandal... eight men out... as in 8 men were removed from baseball by Judge Landis in 1921.  That was big... this is bigger.

And I get it. Some idiot in the Mets front office told Mendoza to say something because their beloved Carlos Beltran just got his big Mets manager job and they are trying to deflect.  But she's terrible at it.  Beltran was part of the problem.  Beltran must be fired and Mendoza needs to zip it.

The Mets finally made moves that were good for their team.  But if they keep Beltran, they will be part of the sign-stealing scandal problem too.  Maybe not fair... but accurate.

Let's call this what it is... BS. We all know Alex Cora, Carlos Beltran, AJ Hinch, Luhnow, Crane... all these morons need to be removed from their respective jobs.  Some of them should be banned for life just like those Black Sox from back in the 1920's.

And the biggest problem today is in the Mets front office.  They've never been good at baseball since the days of Gooden and Orosco.  I'd say they've gotten worse every decade.  And from the sounds of it, their advisor just dug them deeper suggesting technological sign stealing is perfectly fine... as long as the public doesn't get wind of it.

I wonder what the Mets have planned this season with Beltran at the helm? After all... My thought is if he decides to cheat... Jessica Mendoza would be fine with it.
