YANKEES MAKE OFFER TO NEW HITTING COACH WHO MENTORED JUDGE!

If you wrote a letter to Santa asking for the Yankees to hire a hitting coach that can actually teach our guys how to hit and score runs, you may already have your Christmas wish.....maybe.

Several sources are reporting that the Yankees have made an offer for their next hitting coach, and are just waiting for it to be finalized, you can read more HERE. The Yankees may be reuniting with James Rowson. If you are scratching your head and asking, 'WHO IS THAT AND WHEN DID HE WORK FOR US?' you aren't the only one.

He may not be familiar to us, but he will definitely be familiar to Aaron Judge, who worked with him from 2014-2016 when Rowson was the Yankees minor league hitting coordinator. He spent time with the Yankees on two different assignments from 2008-2011 and again from 2014-2016, so he knows the Yankees organization well. Or, I should say he did know it well until it completely collapsed under Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone's watch.

Rowson also worked with the Cubs, Twins, Marlins and most recently the Tigers last season as their Assistant hitting coach. He's certainly not new to baseball, he's been a bench coach and MLB hitting coach but....can he fix the Yankees?

This will be the Yankees 4th hitting coach since Marcus Thames back in 2021. I don't think the Yankees would know how to identify a good hitting coach if one bit them in the butt. I like that Rowson was around during Aaron Judge's minor league days and maybe helped develop him into what he is today, but who really knows? Judge is the connection here that makes this a headline, and still a loose headline at that.

I think we can all agree that Dillon Lawson was a disaster. I was never completely sold on Sean Casey either, even in his short time with us. So now we wait and see what Rowson's philosophy is exactly. Then we also wait and see if he can really connect with the Yankees and help them. I think the Yankees are such a hot mess right now so I can't imagine why Rowson would even want to come back to this crazy train and while it is not official yet, it sounds like this may be a done deal.

I hope this move pays off but looking on paper it is not inspiring. The Tigers OPS, batting average and on base percentage were scarily similar to the Yankees this season. The Tigers were 28 out of 30 teams in OPS+, 27 out of 30 in batting average (2 better than the Yankees), and 26 out of 30 in on base percentage (Yankees were 27th). How is this guy the upgrade that will help the Yankees offense? I just don't see it.

So welcome back, Rowson. I hope you can fix this trainwreck of a team that can't hit. I am admittedly skeptical though and I am trying not to be. You certainly have your work cut out for you.

BABY BOMBER IS AN INSTANT SENSATION IN YANKEES SEPTEMBER CALL UP!

At least for the moment, we have forgotten how horrible the Yankees season has been.

Last night was fun. It was fun for a change as the Yankees won, but more than that, the Martian, Jasson Dominguez showed us all why he was called up.  Yes, part of the reason was that the Yankees have sucked and he was replacing Harrison Bader who was claimed off waivers by the Reds, but the other reason was because of his raw power.  The Yankees won 6-2 and Yankee Twitter went crazy.

"At 20 years, 206 days old, Domínguez became the youngest Yankees player to homer in his first career game. He was the first Yankees player to go deep in his initial big league at-bat since Aaron Judge on Aug. 13, 2016.

Additionally, it was just the second time a player homered off a reigning Cy Young Award winner in his first at-bat, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The other was Marcus Thames -- also for the Yankees -- on June 10, 2002, off Randy Johnson."

That's a lot of information but this is the next Yankee generation, folks. Let's hope he doesn't disappear like Kevin Maas when all the teams figured out that he couldn't hit anything but a fastball.

Congrats the Jasson.  Congrats to the Yankees. Now just keep it going so we can salvage this season!

BREAKING: PUPPET BOONE WILL RETURN AS YANKEES MANAGER!

 You can't make this shit up.

Aaron Boone will return to the New York Yankees as a lifeless leader. Why? That's anyone's guess. The way I see it, if you fire guys like Marcus Thames and Phil Nevin, who work for Boone, how the hell do you not fire the leader of the losers?  It is crystal clear to me that the Yankees want Boone there as a pawn, a puppet, a way to control the field and the game play. Nothing more. He isn't qualified.  

Anyway, ESPN writes:

"Aaron Boone, who has led the New York Yankees to the postseason in each of his four seasons in the Bronx, will return as manager on a new three-year deal with a club option for 2025, it was announced Tuesday.

"We have a person and manager in Aaron Boone who possesses the baseball acumen and widespread respect in our clubhouse to continue to guide us forward," Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner said in a statement. "As a team and as an organization, we must grow, evolve and improve. We need to get better. Period.

"I know Aaron fully embraces our expectations of success, and I look forward to drawing on his intelligence, instincts and leadership in pursuit of our next World Series championship."

Blah, Blah, Blah. Let me tell you something... every year as manager of any team has expectations... and those expectations are to make it to the World Series and hopefully win it. Anything less, like what the Yankees have done is a failure. 

Yankee fans have waited too long to be disappointed again with the Yankees decision on manager.  And trust me, if a guy like Mike Shildt of the St. Louis Cardinals can right that ship and get a playoff berth after a 17 game winning streak and STILL get fired after 3 seasons with him at the helm, but the Yankees don't fire Boone, it is clear to me that the Cardinals front office cares more about winning than ticket sales.  Leadership is valuable and we have none.

Hal is misguided. He's lost just as bad as his under-performing, unqualified puppet manager Boone.

Yankee brass had a chance to change this team starting at the top. They did not. I just gave up my season tickets today.

Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

YANKEE BODIES ARE FALLING... IS BOONE NEXT?

When it comes to inexperience... all you had to do was look at the Yankees coaching staff and laugh.  No one really had experience in the Major Leagues except maybe Marcus Thames and Phil Nevin. I've been screaming about this for months at BYB. The coaching staff is awful.  In fact, I would suggest that the manager was the more inexperienced than Phil Nevin too! Boone is a baffoon, a puppet, put there to torture Yankee fans who pay their hard earned money to go see their team win.  And yes, they did win, sometimes... when there was usually a 10 game losing streak attached to it.

Streaky teams have a hard time being consistent and that was their downfall. And yes you can blame the players to some extent, but you need leadership and the Yankees didn't have that. They had a bunch of college coaches who became fan boys in the process.  We don't need that. We need solid coaches.

The New York Daily News writes that things are starting to change... thank God!

"Over a week after the Bombers were booted from the postseason by the Red Sox, the team informed hitting coaches Marcus Thames and P.J. Pilittere along with third base coach Phil Nevin that they would not have their contracts renewed for 2022, sources confirmed Thursday.

There is still no decision on Aaron Boone, the team’s manager for the past four years, whose contract will officially expire after the World Series."

Then this came out of nowhere from Kristie Ackert, same article:

"So what does shuffling the coaching staff mean? More importantly, what will it actually accomplish? This is just two years after they made what they thought were significant changes, firing long-time pitching coach Larry Rothschild and Josh Bard as bench coach and rebuilding their strength, conditioning and training staff. How big of a difference has that made?"

And so the question to harp on is "What will it accomplish?" Well for one, the Yankee front office has to do a deep dive to look for guys that actually know what their doing.  And if they can actually vet guys this time and maybe find a rythmn... IT WILL ACCOMPLISH ALOT.

You see, the Yankees look good on paper. But mismanagment, sitting guys "cause they need a rest" is no way to coach a team.  Sitting players for sucking is important. Tell that to Joey Gallo.  We are the Yankees. We play to win, that's our legacy and so fans aren't in the business of watching inexperience help navigate a team.  And so, one example of Bard for Rothschild is probably a pretty ridiculous one Ackert... relax. Fans know what we want. I mean look at these coaches that we currently have excluding Marcus Thames and Phil Nevin:

PJ Pilittere (played baseball at California State, minor leaguer) 

Carlos Mendoza (played minor league baseball for 13 years) 

Matt Blake (pitching coachin the Cape Cod league, moved to pitching coach for the Cleveland Indians), Reggie Willits (played for the Anegels, 2006 to 2011) 

Tanner Swanson (minor league catching coordinator with the Twins).  

Does anyone realize how embarassing this is? They look more like a boy band than an actual EXPERIENCED MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL COACHING STAFF.  And Boone the clown at the top? Give me a break.

I am glad Yankee bodies fell yesterday... but I want them all to fall.  Sadly, I have a sneaking suspicion that Boone will stay, but he shouldn't.

Give us experience.  Try and bring in a David Cone.  Try and bring in a Paul O'Neill. Try and bring in anyone that knows this game and all it offers and look for the win, not a streak.  I am telling you... you find the right leadership and we will right this Yankee ship.

But right now it's sinking and I can't stand it.

I leave you with this. I received a note from the Yankees trying to get me to get my 2022 ticket package. I hid the person's name because I don't want to embarass that person. They are just trying to do their job. Anyway, here's the exchange...

FIRE BOONE! HE BROKE HIS YANKEE TOY!

 

Aaron, you might be the worst manager in New York Yankee history. You make bad lineups, you rest better players too often and play the wrong guys all the time. And when it comes to the bullpen, you have managed to dismantle it, hurt it and put in guys that don't belong there.  You have ZERO urgency, are more concerned about how you look than how to win and are truly unqualified to lead any major league team.  Just because Ray Boone, Bob Boone and Bret Boone all played the game and were praised for years during their time doesn't make you a good manager. You're a Beta. You wanna be an Alpha. You wanna be part of that elite Boone liniage, but you just fall short, in the family tree... and in Yankee history. In short, you've fooled no one. You're awful.

Gary Sanchez should never play the field! I don't care how much money we're paying him. He has no grit. He can't catch, he can't block and he cannot call a game. 

You've managed to strip Andrew Heaney of any confidence he's ever had on the mound because you're trowing him into roles he's not accustomed to and not prepared for. If you want quality, you need to build this dude up because you've happened to ruin everyone else out there in the pen.

You can't rest guys like DJ LeMahieu and play Tyler Wade who's been hanging on to the Yankees for way, WAY too long. He's just not good.

What the hell are you doing?  We're supposed to win games, especially down the stretch, but your moves have jeapordized that.  You can come back at me and say "Hey, what about that 13 game winning streak?" I can say, I only care about the next game, and last time I checked... we're losing alot.

Hey Boone... You need to be gone when the season concludes. You have no command of respect... it's clear these players don't wanna play for you. You don't have that THING.  The thing that players look up to. You're a pal, not a leader and that's a major problem. We were supposed to beat the Mets last night, not look like them.  You are embarassing.

I have to tell you Boone, you're soft. Not only that, you know that you're protected by your friend Brian Cashman, but I have news for you... if this was the 80's, you'd be gone. The Yankees have fired people for less in previous decades. Your problem is you cannot command respect from these players and you continually make the wrong moves.  

Phil Nevin's an Alpha. Phil Nevin knows how to win. If I'm Phil Nevin right now, one of the only truly seasoned coaches on your staff, I'm finding a way to off you. The dude has the heart of a lion and wants to win! But he's looking around and he recognized that he's the most qualified on your inexperienced staff... and that includes you. I mean think about this... you have no true veteran except Nevin and Harkey and if you think for a second that these guys and you can come up with a solid, strong winning strategy, you are sadly mistaken.  

Hitting is a major problem these days for the Yankees and all Marcus Thames ever did was hit a few dramatic home runs for us when he was in pinstripes.

P.J. Pilittere? He's a career minor league player. What the hell does he know? Reggie Willits played as a part time player for the Angels for 6 years and he's a first base coach. Why? He's got some experience, find a better role.And this about Tanner Swanson's job. He's quality control and catching coordinator. QUALITY CONTROL!!! 

Did anyone see Gary Sanchez last night? There was ZERO quality and no control. WHAT ARE YOU AND YOUR STAFF DOING TO HELP BETTER THIS TEAM? Did you surround yourself with young bucks so you could look like a prophet or something? Cause you're failing.

My advice? Take a walk. Leave... don't do this gig anymore, you're bad at it. 

We need a manager who's more in tune with playing the best and winning than worrying about feelings and giving bad players chances.  If I see Joey Gallo in that damn lineup again I'm going to scream. He cannot hit a god damn thing. I said it before we got him, I'll say it again... he's not a hitter. He's what I call ONE FOR 15. That one he might hit a homer... or not, but that's about it. If he didn't play good defense he'd be in AAA. 

Work harder or leave, Boone. 

Be dedicated to winning and stop making stupid decisions and setting this team up for failure. You're the worst manager I have ever seen. Even if we make the playoffs, we have no drive to get to the finish. Hey... maybe that's a good thing... maybe then they'll fire you and that incredible inexperienced staff.

JOEY GALLO'S YANKEE MOMENT

I love watching Joey Gallo hit a home run.  The issue is he doesn't do it every single time and let's be honest, that's his bread and butter.

Anthony Rizzo proved that he's a New York Yankee. The dude is on fire and hopefully that stays. As a Yankee, Rizzo is 8-24 with 3 homers and 6 RBIs. He's batting .333. Nice start. Will it continue? You never know, that's baseball. 

Joey Gallo has 1 home run, 5-27 with 3 RBIs. He's batting .158. 11 strikeouts. He's struggling. Will it change? It will, but I have my doubts right this second. Last night however, he made me very happy... as a fan, for the Yankees, for him. He had his Yankee moment and it was glorious:

What makes Gallo's homer so special was it put the Yankees on top in a packed stadium and pretty much put everyone on their feet like it was a playoff game. Notice that? Just freaking incredible, something that's bigger than the Yankees and Gallo right now. In this world of COVID we needed that... we really did.

But Joey Gallo can be fixed so he's doing that more consistently. All Joey needs to do is get back to HIS swing, and you can tell that that he's getting to the baseball alittle too quick right now. He's probably all hocked up and wants to impress us Yankee fans, but the thing is, he's too excited. If Gallo can sit back and fall back into his regular swing, not get to the ball too fast, not lunge, he's gonna be fine. 

But Marcus Thames needs to recognize this and fix it. It's not my job to tell you. You can just tell when you look at his swing. He needs to be less excited, get comfortable and get back to HIS swing and not worrying about impressing us fans. It will come regularly if he does that. Stay back.

Look, these acquisitions are exciting. I have no doubt that Gallo CAN contribute, but I wanna see it... I want to see consistent wins from the Yankees. Trust me, it's starting to happen, but as a sometimes critic, I always want more.

Congrats Joey Gallo, you're a Yankee... let's keep going!

IT'S TIME FOR THE YANKEES TO ADDRESS THE REAL PROBLEM...

I rarely like to make quick, or rash decisions because it rarely pans out. Instead of fixing a problem it can often have the exact opposite result. However, we've given this a LONG go around here. The Yankees are a sinking ship and there simply isn't enough time to sit back and hope for a drastic turnaround, especially when we aren't seeing the results we really need.

I am ready to move on from Brian Cashman, Aaron Boone and Marcus Thames and many others and start from scratch. I don't think it is harsh, but it is a cost of doing business. Baseball is a business after all. Ken Davidoff of the New York Post disagrees, however and you can find that HERE in case you missed it.

He thinks Boone and Cashman DESERVE the chance to fix this. Haven't we been waiting since April? Cashman said he believed in he team and there was magic we just haven't seen yet. How long are we supposed to wait? Especially as we sit in fourth place in the division. How is that supposed to work as we sit and wait for a sparkplug with our minor league call ups. If we continue to sit and wait, we could be out of the race by the All-Star break. We can't afford to wait!

What has Boone and Cashman done to earn our patience? They have leaned erratically to analytics and they have not fostered a team that embraces baseball fundamentals at all. They don't hit, they don't field. They also don't hit for average or manufacture runs and now we aren't even the Bronx Bombers anymore. We don't hit homeruns and we don't even have the valuable let handed hitters that should feast off of that short porch. They don't play with good fundamentals anymore. Our offense is the bottom of all categories in all of MLB and we are second in all MLB for hitting into double plays! So having patience with Boone or Cashman won't fix this. That ship has sailed.

Will firing Boone fix that? No, but someone has to be held accountable and it starts with the skipper. He has to be good for more than just a crazy soundbite filled with optimism and empty words. This isn't anything new, when a team is underperforming managers are fired. It's what happens. You can't fire the whole team, the Yankees are stuck with some really bad contracts that they won't be able to move. Aaron Hicks was a huge mistake and Giancarlo Stanton just cripples the Yankees payroll going forward. Boone may not hit for the team, but he should take the fall for the team because that's what happens in the real world.

And the same blame should go for Cashman too. There was so much promise after 2017 with Luis Severino, Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez that never panned out. The farm system hasn't panned out and we need a leader who can get rebuild our farm. I just dont see that man as Cashman anymore, I admit at one point I did. He has a ridiculous payroll to work with and a ton of resources that many GMs would kill for, and all we have to show for it is 2009. That's not enough. I don't think he can find the right people anymore.

So sorry Davidoff, but now we need someone who can actually fix this franchise going forward. It's not just about this season anymore, it's about the future too. Boone is only good for a soundbite and as a "yes man" and the relationship with Cashman has run its course. It's time to move on and do a serious house cleaning. The opportunity to fix this for all of these guys is gone....it's time for someone else to come in and get the job done.

MARCUS THAMES—DON'T PUT PRESSURE ON YOURSELVES, GO HAVE FUN

It is more than obvious that the Yankees have struggled mightily over the last several games. Beat up by the Blue Jays. Swept by the Tigers. The unlikeliest of heroes in Clint Frazier may have helped break the Yankee losing streak in a walk off homerun and outstanding catch to beat the Rays in 11 Tuesday night, but that does not erase the Yankees poor offensive showing this year. And hitting coach Marcus Thames doesn't really have an explanation as to why the Yankees have a 3.74 run-per-game average and is tied for second worst in the American League. Thames wants his guys to dial down the pressure and remember why they are out there—to have fun.

“I know that what this team is capable of and it’s just hard to put a finger on certain things,” Thames said. “We’ll be close (to breaking out) and then we’ll take a step back. We just have to be consistent. I just feel like we can’t put pressure on ourselves. Just go out and play. I told the guys the other day, some days it looks like they’re not having fun. They’ve got to go have fun and let the game slow down a little bit, and then we can get back to where we need to be,” wrote NJ.com.

It is hard to see the green grass when the chain link fence obstructs your view. But that fence, that roadblock is the Yankees doing. Perhaps it is because the team has relied on the long ball for so long that they forget the fundamentals of producing runs. Actually, it is not perhaps. That really is the issue. Thames has talked a lot about situational hitting this season, but we just haven't seen it.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post said, "After being first or second in the AL in homers the past four years, the Yanks are tied for eighth this year, heading into Tuesday. Nearly everything else in their offensive holster impairs run scoring by not maximizing bases. They are last in the majors in doubles, triples and steals. They have made the most outs on the bases and hit into the most double plays."

Simply put, the Yankees can't seem to put the ball in play with runners in scoring position. It is not the analytics that are dulling the Yankees senses. It is the Yankees losing their ability to play fundamental baseball—running mistakes, lack of small ball, no speed, no patience at the plate. It is overwhelmingly clear the Yankees have problems. And if you are not going to blame Thames, then who? Boone? Cashman? 

The Yankees have too many of the same kind of player. It may actually be their lack of diverse skill sets that are taking the fun out of the game for them. So, they can take away the pressure all they want, but unless the Yankees start changing up their offensive formula, they will continue to slide in the standings and deflate themselves and their fans with their inability to produce runs and win games.

PAUL O'NEILL WEIGHS ON YANKEES OFFENSIVE WOES

The Yankees were hard to watch last month and even with the better record now and some wins....they are STILL hard to watch. There's a lot of season left and a lot of time to make improvements but they have a lot of work ahead of them. It's time to get back to some basics here.

I really like a lot of what Paul O'Neill has been saying lately from the broadcast booth. He's not saying anything earth shattering. It's not rocket science at all, but considering how awful the Yankees are this season at hitting you would think it was. If you didn't get to hear his comments you can read more about them HERE.

Seven of 12 Yankees hitters who have 50-plus plate appearances are batting in the .100s

Let that just sink in. That's literally disgusting to me and flat out unacceptable. O'Neill had some ideas on what needed to happen in order to fix it. I agree with most of them. Here's what works....

"If you were a manager and you take this team, I’ll have Voit, Stanton and Judge in my office, ‘You guys, I need you to hit home runs.’"

Again, O'Neill's comment is not rocket science but true. Luke Voit is last season's home run king, and lately Aaron Judge has been every pitcher's worst nightmare. We know Giancarlo Stanton can knock them out and he was on a tear earlier.....you know before he went on the Injured List AGAIN. The guys have the swing and the power and they just need to have good plate discipline and do what they do best. The keywords are plate discipline don't swing at everything, don't swing at garbage and drive the ball. 

"Then I’m going to take LeMahieu, Torres and Urshela and say, ‘Guys, I need you to be .300 hitters. I need you to drive the ball all over the place and keep the ball in play.’"

Again, right on the money. When you make contact, you make things happen. Hopefully good things, but still without contact then we get the seven Yankee hitters hitting .100 and that just doesn't work. We all know what DJ LeMahieu can do, he's been our Most Valuable Player and he's Mr. Consistent. We need him to stay that way and drive runs in. Gleyber Torres looks better now, but in April he looked like he was pressing too hard. He had a longer swing and his stance was pretty wide. It really messed with his mechanics and that's not how you bust out of a slump.

But here's what doesn't work for me....
"And then you’ve got Gardner and Wade, ‘I need you guys on base. I need you to steal bases and score runs.’"

I agree with the 'get on base' part but I think the days of relying on Brett Gardner to steal are over. He hasn't been much of a base stealer since 2017 where he had 23 in 151 games and 682 plate appearances. It's been a while since we've had that kind of production from him. Can he still do it? Yes. Is he likely to do it as much? Probably not. As far as Tyler Wade goes, I really don't think the Yankees can rely on him. He's had a lot of opportunities throughout the years and he's not a base stealer. His career best is 7 back in 2019. At this point he has a .280 BA, which is miles better than several other guys. Just give him some at-bats, hope he stays consistent and drives some runs in. We can't give him too many specific roles here and expect him to flourish. 

The Yankees like their analytics, so these ideas seem old-school and don't fit their current direction but they make sense and it can't hurt. The Yankees are underperforming here and I think O'Neill is on to something. 

O'Neill is a former batting champion for crying out loud so he knows a thing or two about hitting, even in this modern world. I really can't say I have the same confidence right now when it comes to Marcus Thames right now.....but I've already went down that road.

SOMEONE'S GOTTA GO! HERE IS WHERE I WOULD START....

How long do we have to wait to "hit rock bottom" and just sit and accept failure? I was unimpressed with Brian Cashman's Zoom conference this week and I really hoped that Tuesday's win was going to be the start of heading in the right direction. Maybe I am just impatient but I am tired of waiting. Last night didn't give me any hope. Cashman may have faith in his people....but I don't. I'm not alone. It's time to make some unpopular decisions.

I'm over Marcus Thames. He's ineffective and not getting the job done. The Yankees have trusted Thames as their head hitting coach since the 2018 season and the Yankees have had their fair share of offensive struggles for a long time. We like the long ball for sure, but we should be better with consistent situational hitting....but we aren't. We just can't hit at all right now and it's unacceptable.

And that was a painful reminder last night. Wednesday's game was the 11th time in 17 games that the Yankees scored three or fewer runs. It was also the fifth game in a row(!) they've had five or less hits. Does it get anymore pathetic than that? Unfortunately it does. The Yankees haven't scored so few runs in their first 17 games since 1984. The hits just keep on coming...just not on the baseball field where we need them.

Oh, but don't worry Yankee fans , because Cashman has "a lot of trust in the people we have" and he wants us all to believe it. He's seen "a lot of magic along the way" and he wants to sell everyone a picturesque scene of butterflies and rainbows, apparently. You can read more about his vision HERE if you want but I call it a bunch of garbage. Where's the magic this season, Cashman? I only see a sinking ship and you and Hal Steinbrenner are enabling it.

Right now, you can START to save the ship by getting rid of Thames. It's not working at all. We need new life in this team. You said "we don't see us reacting to not believing in the staff we have" but you should be! It's not working. Waiting for a new day and for everyone to have an epiphany is just INSANITY. A 6-10 record has NO MAGIC and only epic failure. When do you say "enough is enough" and actually be a leader? The Yankees had a very short leash with both Jeff Pentland and Alan Cockrell but Thames has had MANY chances. And I don't want to hear anything about "loyalty" here. This is a business and right now this team is failing. Be a leader and make a change because that is what is best for this team.

Marcus Thames has to go. I've believed this for a while now, but now it is obvious. It can't be overlooked. We can all see it. Open your eyes, Yankees. It's time for some new life. It's time to set the tone and stop being SOFT and CODDLING people. You can start to make a change NOW by letting Thames go. 

Letting Thames go is the right answer, there's no reason to keep him. Cut the cord already! Thank you for your years of service as a player and a coach, Thames....but this isn't working and it's time to part ways. He should've been fired a while ago. It's not personal, it's just business.
