DAN PATRICK MOVES ON TO BIGGER AND BETTER THINGS...

Whenever I can, I listen to the Dan Patrick Show.  When I do, I'm entertained... always. The Danettes are great and the guys are always very knowledgeable about all sports.

I love when Dan Patrick makes cameo appearances in Adam Sandler films.  One of my favorites has to be in Just Go With it where he is a guy holding a hula contest in Hawaii. Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Aniston tie and the tie breaker is Coconut Smoochie. That classic scene is below, and Dan Patrick does a great job.

.

Let me also say for the record that in that film, Jennifer Aniston gives Brooklyn Decker a run for her money. I never really thought about Jennifer Aniston as a sex symbol, but she looks great and you gotta give her credit, she's clearly dedicated.

She looks amazing, my wife and I both agreed. Anyway, now I'm getting off track...typical.

I also loved when Kate Upton showed up to the Dan Patrick show while back. We even wrote about it on BYB because it was a show I was home and able to listen too and it was pretty damn funny.  Fritzy stole the show.  Read WHY IT'S ALL KATE UPTON ON THE DAN PATRICK SHOW. Highly entertaining.

So what's the point of this post?  Clearly I have a point, right? I do. Good news for Dan and the Danettes.  The Dan Patrick show will be live tomorrow at 9am on NBC Sports Network, read HERE... they have a new deal.

According to the press release, "NBC Sports Network has acquired multi-year rights from DIRECTV to air The Dan Patrick Show, the renowned sports television show and syndicated radio program starring Football Night in America co-host Dan Patrick. The Dan Patrick Show will debut on NBC Sports Network tomorrow and air weekdays from 9 a.m.–Noon ET. A “Best Of” version will air weekday afternoons from 4-5 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.

To coincide with the debut of the show tomorrow, NBC Sports Network will relocate to Channel 220 (from Channel 603) on DIRECTV, which is adjacent to other national sports channels. DIRECTV owns and operates The Dan Patrick Show, which airs daily on DIRECTV’s exclusive Audience Network as well."

Look, that's huge and I just want to say how glad I am for those guys. They put in long hours, they work hard and put on some great shows! Congrats to the Dan Patrick Show.

YANKEES NEW, YANKEES OLD AND KATE UPTON

Look, there's a ton of Yankees news and names that I needed to fill you in about.  And sure, I wanted to post this Kate Upton video as well.  God Bless America and the New York Yankees...

David Aardsma: So great news for David Aardsma, he's on track, according to him.  Gotta love Twitter, read HERE.  20 fastballs he threw and he felt good.  That's good and once he starts mixing up the pitches he'll move on to the next step and hopefully we see him after the All-Star break.  Look, the Yankees pen right now is terrific and if Aardsma comes in and he can contribute, that can only be a good thing.  I'm psyched about this guy and again, I love that he communicates with us fans on Twitter.

Alfonso Soriano: According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times, Soriano is interested in being traded to a contender. Read HERE. The question is, would the Yankees have a need or want to bring him back to the Bronx to utilize his bat off the bench?

Jose Contreras: Remember Jose Contreras? He's with the Phillies these days and I just wanted to fill you in on his life.  He has a tear of his ulnar collateral ligament and a flexor pronator tear...read HERE.  I always liked Contreras but he wasn't Yankees material.  I really loved what George Steinbrenner did with Contresas, outbidding the Red Sox back in the day...you gotta love that. It was right around then that the Yankees were called the Evil Empire...sour grapes much?

Austin Romine: Romine is back...kind of.  He announced on Twitter that he can begin baseball activities finally. Read his Tweet HERE. Let's not forget, this guy's had back problems since Spring. Hopefully he gets going, I'm really looking forward to seeing him at some point.

Ross Ohlendorf: Ross Ohlendorf had that potential that the Yankees always say they like about their kids, then, in a flash he was shipped off to the Pittsburgh Pirates near the trade deadline in 2008 with 3 others for Damaso Marte and Xavier Nady. Marte ended up being valuable to us in the 2009 World Series, so, it would have been interesting if we didn't make that move. The point is, I wanted to give you update on Ohlendorf who's on the move again. He was with the Red Sox on a minor league contract but opted out of it over the weekend. Well, he just signed with the San Diego Padres to a major league deal. Read HERE. Good luck Ross.

Cesar Cabral: Cabral was the lefty pitcher who was competing against Clay Rapada in spring training and literally got hurt right before the first day of the season.  Rapada made the team by default, Cabral was put on the shelf.  Here's the latest on Cabral, he's been moved from the 60 day to the 15 day DL. Read HERE.  That update was mid-May and to be honest, I haven't been able to get a better update now on June 4th, except to tell you that the consensus is he will miss the first half this season. Stay tuned.

Kate Upton: Kate Upton has been all over the place lately.  She recently appeared on the Dan Patrick show on one of the funniest shows by DP I've seen in a while. Read WHY IT'S ALL KATE UPTON ON DAN PATRICK'S SHOW. Upton recently danced the Cat Daddy and the video was "directed" by a guy named Terry Richardson.  Well... I guess he deserves an Oscar, because it's considered by many to be a great "film".  Here it is.

So there you have it, the New York Yankees, former Yankees and Kate Upton. Enjoy your Tuesday.

WHY IT'S ALL KATE UPTON ON DAN PATRICK'S SHOW

"How does this show not win an Emmy?" - Dan Patrick

This has nothing to do with the New York Yankees and everything to do with enjoying a good sports show. I work for a living and I never watch or listen to the Dan Patrick show even though I love the guy and his crew, the Danettes, so when I catch it on TV, it's enjoyable.  That being said, I found yesterday's show to be quite entertaining.

Dan is funny, he's always funny, and he's just so good at what he does. The Danettes are epic and a great compliment and today supermodel Kate Upton stopped in. Clearly Dan was nervous, so were the Danettes and in my opinion, there was 1 creepy moment where Kate was in Dan's side of the studio (it's separated by glass from the Danettes) and the dialog between Kate and Dan was strange:

Kate: "We're not all in the same room."
Dan: "You can put your headphones onto hear them."

Now I love Dan and I know there was absolutely nothing wrong or suggestive with this dialog and conversation, but it was clear as a viewer, she wanted to have more interaction with the Danettes more. It seemed creepy for those few seconds, that's all. But it got way better. When they started the interview it was great, freaking hilarious actually.  5 dudes drooling over Kate Upton, every viewer was doing the same, trust me.

The best part had to be when Fritzy came in and was told to sing while Kate Upton danced.  The song he chose? Rick Ashley's "Never gonna give you up". (Ya'll remember her dancing at a basketball game on YouTube right?

Anyway, I was rolling. Fritzy couldn't come up with a better song? Come on... I was waiting for him to get Rick Rolled. Through all of this, I get a text from my buddy, who also had a day off today writing "How much you want to make a bet Christie Teigen calls in and says 'Are the Danettes cheating on me?'" (If you don't know, Teigen does Dans' show from time to time.)

Look, we're a Yankee site, I know. What does this have to do with them? Nothing, I have a vehicle to speak my mind. I love sports, I love the Yankees and I appreciate and respect shows like the  Dan Patrick Show. If you don't listen, you should, if you don't watch, you should.

Kudos to Dan and the Danettes, they do a great job. I mean, they even has Bob Costas on and Dan and him broke each others balls because Costas won like his 23rd studio award and Dan got the shaft. It's just funny, I love it.

Hey, Maybe Seton, a Yankee fan will give me a shout out, I found yesterday's show to be really really great.
