LACK OF CONFIDENCE WILL BE THE UNDOING OF BRIAN CASHMAN IN BELLINGER PURSUIT

It's already starting with Cody Bellinger

After the Yankees have been attached to Bellinger before the season even ended, it is now being revealed that there are mixed feelings about Bellinger coming to the Bronx. Why? Well... if you're asking me, I'll tell you;  I believe the Yankees front office, and Brian Cashman are unsure with themselves to make the right decision. That's right... they are under a microscope. Every move is being watched by us fans, and no matter what he does, we will kill him through social media or outlets like this.  So, the "hurry up and wait" way of thinking this off-season will ultimately be the Yankees undoing. The same Yankees who have glaring problems... not with their players as much as their front office and analytics department.  It's a mess... and it needed to be fixed before we went out and tried to pursue players... but nothing is different at all.  Hal's not paying attention...  but us fans are.

Inside the Pinstripes writes:

"Although New York has been linked to Bellinger on multiple occasions, it does sound like the Yankees have some concerns, according to the New York Post's Jon Heyman.

"The Yankees like free agent Cody Bellinger but some Yankee people are worried about his hard-hit rate even after his brilliant season," Heyman said. "He seems like the perfect fit as an excellent center fielder who bats left-handed and hit .306 after a couple of rough injury years.

"But some analytics work against him (my thought: hard-hit rate favors guys who whiff, aka Joey Gallo, not Bellinger, who hit .279 with two strikes by putting the ball in play)."

And this is the problem.  The Yankees picked up Gallo based on their analytics department. The idea was that he got on base a lot through walks and of course he hit home runs.  But Gallo really did neither in New York, and Gallo was also a strike out machine with no batting average to speak of.  He was a bum.  He was a bum before the Yankees signed him and he still is. But yet, that's what our analytics department got us.

Bellinger on the other hand is a typical, normal major leaguer with hot streaks and of course cold streaks... like an Aaron Judge or a Giancarlo Stanton or any other player out there.  So, what's my point? My point is analytics analysis is destroying this team because the Yankees are clearly looking at the wrong information.  And so, at this point... Cashman is skittish and not confident to make hard decisions.... decisions we desperately need to make a better Yankee team!

Yankee fans everywhere... this is gonna be the same off season as every off season.  The Yankees suck. They aren't going to better our team. Cashman isn't sure what's going on and to be honest... he doesn't know what he's doing.

The bottom line is the Yankees need Bellinger. Will we get him? I feel like we won't.  Stay tuned... it's still a dumpster fire.
