SONNY GRAY 2.0?! I JUST GOT SICK!

WHAT THE HELL has happened to the Yankees? I mean, no one expected the Yankees to look like they did in June through the rest of the regular season but again....WHAT. THE. HELL?!

I also didn't expect the Cardinals to sweep us, that stings A LOT! I didn't expect Jordan Montgomery to get early revenge on Saturday. That trade already cost us and then Frankie Montas just completely imploded yesterday. What has happened to the Yankees? Please....make it stop!

Losing is always hard and the Yankees have been doing too much of it since July. That is hard to stomach, but so are text messages from your coworkers who love baseball as much as me....but hate the Yankees as much as I hate the ASSTROS, so that should tell you something. This is what my coworkers have been sending me:

Coworker 1: 28 in 2022? Not a chance in hell!
Coworker 2: The Astros say HI! ;) 
Coworker 3: Oooooh Frankie Montas looks FANTASTIC! LOL
Coworker 4: Jordan Montgomery is glad you got rid of him. Now he has a chance to win!

And then there was this.....

But then I got a follow up to the image above that said: "CONGRATS ON TRADING FOR SONNY GRAY 2.0! THE A'S REALLY HOSED YOU!"

UGH, just stop already! Did Montas deliver yesterday? Nope. Does one start define his Yankee tenure? That's a crazy idea. Before we compare him to Gray or anyone else for that matter let's give him a few more innings. To be fair, the guy just came back from extended time off after a death in the family playing for a team with MUCH higher expectations. This was not the ideal scenario for his first appearance.

I am not going to make excuses for the guy. Welcome to New York, stakes are high and the pressure is insane so now you know, Montas. So no excuses, but I am also not going to throw him out with the trash and write him off after one start. Sonny Gray had a much longer leash, so Montas should get a longer one also.

So Alex, if you are reading this....Everything is fine, for me. My team has a chance to play past October but yours is almost guaranteed to be playing golf. Keep your Gray references to yourself!

But seriously, get it together Yankees! This 14-18 record since July is infuriating! Fix it.
