NASTY NATE & .500

They did it, and it's about one game at a time, isn't it? .500 is a nice place to be, next we need to get passed it.

The Yankees won their 6th in a row last night and they appear to be rolling.

Nathan Eovaldi and the pen held the Blue Jays to just 2 hits and zero runs.  A truly wonderful spectacle that needed to happen.  In addition the 6 runs were led by Carlos Beltran who is just on a tear.  Here's how it all went down...

With the Yankees up 1 nothing in the 4th, Beltran homered knocking in 1 more. It was a solo shot.  Then, in the 7th, a ground-rule double by Austin Romine and another run scored. Right after that Jacoby Ellsbury singled in another run.

In the Bottom of the 8th, Chase Headley sacrificed home another run.  Then Didi Gregorius singled and knocked in Aaron Hicks.  And those are your 6.

It's wonderful to see this team coming together the way it has.  I'm the first to admit I wasn't too jazzed about this club, but I also didn't give up on them... let's just say I took a hiatus.  It was good for my heart.

Final: Yankees 6 - Blue Jays 0
