More Yankee Spring Training pictures for my Bleeding Yankee Blue Family.
If you haven't seen THE BOYS OF SPRING: PART 1, PART 2, and PART 3, be sure to check them out. Great shots of a great 2014 Yankee club.
Here's Part 4.
Here is Jacoby Ellsbury practicing his bunting. I have alot of hope when it comes to Ellsbury this season and beyond for the Yanks. Sure, there is worry about his injury record and I get that, but I hope he and Gardy share a huge part when it comes to energy and run scoring this season. Anyway, it's a cool shot.
There's Mark Teixeira stretching it out. If Mark can come back healthy, he'll be great in our new and improved lineup. A lot of people don't believe Tex will ever be the same and accuse him of slowing down. I won't agree with that yet. More importantly, is that Kevin Long in the background? What's he talking about... maybe something like this?
Long: "So I told Cano, I said 'Hey, you're a lazy dude! I'm gonna tell Joe to bench you. Not only that, I think you suck!'"
Unknown man: "I doubt you said that."
Long: "OK... I did say, 'can you please run harder' though."
Unknown man: "Sure you did Kev. Sure you did."
This one is Scott Sizemore sporting his #24. I love the fact that the Yankees didn't put 24 in a drawer somewhere like they did #21 and #51. It's them poking Robinson Cano back alittle bit. Whatever the case, Sizemore fits #24 just fine.
Great shot of Brian McCann smiling it up. He's got a great smile and I love him behind the plate. I'm about as excited as I was when Jorge Posada was behind the dish. They're both just gritty, tough catchers. Looking forward to seeing McCann play in the Bronx.
More soon freaks... more soon.
