I liked to be kissed when I'm getting f--ked.
Seriously, as a Yankee fan, I cannot believe what 2013 has brought me. I'm uneasy everyday. I feel frustrated and aggravated and I can't stand watching this Yankee team play. Add the injuries to it and there is literally nothing worse when it comes to the Yanks right now.
Today we know that Derek Jeter needs to sit because of a Grade 1 strain in his calf and we also know that Phil Hughes may be the worst pitcher in the American League right now and even if we WERE trying to trade him, his value is so low, no one would want him. Either release the guy or do the minor league trick that we did for Nova. Send him down, try and fix him and bring him up when we're ready. OR, I guess we're just letting the season come to a close so the Yankees and Hughes can part ways. It's sad actually.
Anyway... let's chat about the game. Hughes went only 2.2 innings and gave up 6 hits and 5 runs. Only 1 other run was given up and it was by Preston Claiborne.
As far as hitting, scoring runs is still a problem. 3 runs were scored by the Yankees today. In the 6th, Curtis Granderson singled home Robinson Cano. Then Lyle Overbay singled in Alfonso Soriano.
In the 7th, Austin Romine homered. But that's it... the Yankees lose...
Final: Padres 6 - Yankees 3.
So... who's kissing me, because this is disgraceful.
