BRYCE HARPER WINS NL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

WHY BRYCE HARPER COULD BE A YANKEE.  Yeah, we wrote that here at BYB in March of 2011.  Check it out.  Now it appears that Bryce Harper has just won the National League Rookie of the Year award.  Good for him.  You can read about it HERE.

According to DJ Short at Hardball Talk, "Bryce Harper was named the National League Rookie of the Year this evening by the BBWAA, beating out finalists Wade Miley and Todd Frazier. He received 16 first-place votes compared to 12 for Miley, three for Frazier and one for Wilin Rosario. It was a very close vote, as Harper and Miley were ultimately separated by just seven points. It would have been even closer if Miley wasn’t left off one ballot."

Congrats to Harper and the others... a great achievement.

By the way, you can read our piece on Mike Trout from earlier tonight as well. He won the AL Rookie of the Year award unanimously. Read GUESS WHO WON THE AL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AWARD?
