BREAKING: CHRISTIAN WALKER IS ON THE MOVE

Christian Walker has agreed to a 3-year, $60 million contract with the Houston Astros, according to Ken Rosenthal and CBS Sports' Jim Bowden. The 33-year-old right-handed slugger is coming off a strong walk-year performance with the Arizona Diamondbacks and brings an impressive combination of power and elite defense to Houston. Over the past three seasons, Walker has blasted 95 home runs and secured three consecutive NL Gold Glove Awards at first base.

Initially seen as a top option for the Yankees to strengthen their infield, but I will be that Walker pivoted to the Astros after New York signed Cody Bellinger realizing he'd have no place in the Bronx. With this move, Walker ensures he joins a contender while getting a fresh start to enjoy the holidays with his new team. Astros suck by the way.
