This just came down a short time ago. It looks like Nestor Cortes is not going to be participating in the World Baseball Classic and it's because he's hurt. That sucks, but better the WBC than the regular season with the Yankees.

"Yankees southpaw Nestor Cortes will not participate in the World Baseball Classic due to a right hamstring injury. He told reporters Monday in Tampa that he hopes to be ready for the start of the season.
