So many designs, guys!
Look. BYB has been around since the September of 2010. Back then I was up day and night trying to get this thing off the ground, all while raising a family and all while having a full-time job. And I did it, but I was working myself to the bone. It was brutal. Thankfully, Jeana Bellezza and Suzie Pinstripe have been with me literally almost the entire time. And sure, we have had terrific writers that have joined Bleeding Yankee Blue over the years, and we are blessed to have them too. But let's be honest, it takes a special person to do this regularly and not give up on the brand. Plus, writing has been an outlet for me, and so I will never stop. Yes, I am sometimes overwhelmed with life and on my writing days I will sometimes be absent from my column because I'm way too busy, but thankfully our BYB audience understands.
Suzie, Jeana and I are blessed to have you read us every day. No, Bleeding Yankee Blue is not Barstool. While that would be great, I honestly like our much smaller, intimate, more engaged audience better. Nothing against Barstool, in fact, I'm a huge Portnoy guy. But we're not that and I'm relieved we're not. I think that would give me major anxiety at this point in my life. And so, I thank you all for your commitment, your passion and your love of what we do here at BYB.
We started a Merchandise store a while back at BYB. Our first big Yankee relationship in connection to the shirt was David and Erin Robertson, people I will always admire.
Through Tee Public, we started with no idea of what we're doing. It took a while and sometimes early on the quality was poor and there weren't as many deals as there are today, and it was just a tough start for us. But thankfully through collaboration with Tee Public and them building their company and us building BYB, the quality and deals have surfaced, and things appear to be on the up and up and I am thankful for their partnership.
So why am I writing all this? For 2 reasons. For one, to thank you for your loyalty to BYB. We are doing great with what we have. We love our readers, and we will continue to be committed to you as long as we can.
The second reason is to share with you that the deals for BYB Gear are important to keep eye out for. Tee Public does 20% off and occasionally 35% off. You need to look for that because that's when the deal for this high-quality merchandise gets moved.
BYB has made a huge selection of designs. Our top designs right now are these 4:
It's always fun to see what works and what doesn't. Now there are currently 91 designs in the Bleeding Yankee Blue store and more will be made. I personally designed a handful of them. Many of them are also created by independent artists. Here are my 4 favorite designs right now:
Now look, there are a lot of great designs and with the sale going on right now, even I made some purchases for myself. The quality is great, the designs are plentiful and if you have any problems with the items, all you need to do is send a note to Tee Public and they will replace it or refund you. That's why I love working with Tee Public... they are a fair company trying to do the right thing for their customers.
Look, the store has everything from T-shirts to awesome hoodies to pillows, mugs, phone cases... you can even get wall tapestries which will be my next purchase for my basement.
I can't wait. The point is, we here at BYB have been wanting to get into the T-shirt game for a while, and while it's hard, it's a thank you to you for all your support and it's a reminder that BYB is still here.
If you guys have a design idea and something you'd like to wear that we don't have, tell me and I'll make it for you. If you think this whole thing is ridiculous, tell me. We don't shy away from trying to improve. We have been here since September 2010. We're not packing up yet.
Thank you for your support and thank you for the banter. We improve because you're there.
Go Yanks!
