A LACKLUSTER ALL STAR GAME 2019

So, I am at the shore at a roof top bar, beautiful sunset, beach air, and this baseball game is so boring. Not only do I have to endure multiple Houston Astros in the lineup of this 2019 All Star Game and sit through boring hits and very little runs, I have to hear Joe Buck call this game. Yea, the All Start Game is lackluster and I can't wait for Yankee baseball to be back on tap again.

"The Houston Astros have the most All-Stars of any team with six: George Springer, Alex Bregman, Michael Brantley, Justin Verlander, Ryan Pressly and Gerrit Cole. The All-Stars who will receive the biggest cheers will be the hometown Indians, of which there are four: shortstop Francisco Lindor, first baseman Carlos Santana (who also participated in the Home Run Derby), reliever Brad Hand and starting pitcher Shane Bieber," reported MLB.com.  I care about Gary Sanchez (who hit a stand up double), DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres, Masahiro Tanaka (scoreless inning) and Aroldis Chapman.

With the game meaningless and second fiddle to the dynamic Home Run Derby the night before, it was a boring night of baseball for even the most devoted of baseball fans.  The only highlight was the the ceremonial first pitch by CC Sabathia who was honored by his former hometown Cleveland Indians.

"It wasn't difficult to say yes to it," Sabathia said at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. "I think if you had asked me at the beginning of the year about coming to the All-Star Game, I probably would've been like, 'Nah.' But as I've gotten into this throughout this year and everything, coming here the first time [the Yankees visited the Indians last month] and seeing the All-Star Game was here, I thought it would be cool to come back," reported CBS Sports.

The Yankees get a couple more days off before hosting the Toronto Blue Jays this weekend.  It is an all-in second half of the season for the Yankees.  Looking forward to more excitement ahead.
