It appeared that it was going to be a good night. I was out of pocket for a bit, but I was listening on the radio in my car. It was then that I heard ARod's bomb, and then saw this Tweet.

You gotta love diehard fans.Ultimately though, the night we all thought would happen, didn't happen. But I'm way ahead of myself.
It was supposed to be about a Yankee win, and the introduction of second baseman Rob Refsnyder, a kid we've all been craving to watch. Ivan Nova was on the hill for us. He went 6.2 innings, allowed 8 hits and 4 runs. I personally didn't think he did too bad, after all, the Yankees could and should always be able to come back from a 4 run deficit... it's the first place Yankees against the last place Sox. Piece of cake I thought. Turns out Adam Warren gave up another run to make the Sox have 5 last night.
As far as the Yankees... we scored like this:
In the first, it was an ARod homer to put the Yankees ahead 1-0. The Sox would eventually tie it in the 3rd. Then in the 4th, they scored 2 more to make it 3-1, Red Sox.
In the 6th, Jacoby Ellsbury hit a solo shot. Now down 3-2, the Yankees slipped alittle more. The Red Sox scored 2 more in the 7th.
With the score 5-2, we were able to scrape another run in the 8th on a Brett Gardner double. 1 run scored. Then... we ran out of time.
Oh, and Rob Refsnyder? 0-3 and batted 9th. No problem... it's 1 game... and nerves happen. But I did find a terrific shot of Ref trying to put the tag on De Aza when he stole second last night.
If anything, it's just a cool shot.
Yanks lose this one... we win today.
Final: Red Sox 5 - Yankees 3
