BYB MAY BE ABOUT FAMILY, BUT WE'RE NOT BABYSITTERS

Bleeding Yankee Blue built an audience based on family.  We believe a solid family is the basis for a positive upbringing and successful future.  That's why we cling to Yankee role models and amazing families over the past 4 years.  We love and appreciate the Hensley family, The Posadas, the Sabathias, Clay Rapada... and recently Lory and Rick Ankiel, and even new Yankee Chris Martin. Goals are important in life and for a family, you need to teach your children well.  BYB is founded on family, and we'll continue to do that.

BYB tries to keep it wholesome here.  We bring you child humor when we bring you the Yankees.  We understand that kids read this blog. I have kids myself.  I understand values and I know when something crosses the line or not. I have to... I'm a dad.  But here's the thing... this is also considered entertainment and this is a big one... write this down.   I'm not your child's parent.  I'm not their babysitter and I don't know what other children are doing out there.  I don't know the Internet rules in your house.  I also don't restrict what I put on Bleeding Yankee Blue if I feel that shock value is needed or that I need to get you talking about a certain post or story we put out. 

I have been accused of posting smut.  Rightly charged, but here's what it wasn't.  It wasn't porn and it wasn't wrong of me to post a late night post and cleverly tease the audience with "Domination", sex and baseball.  It was done to shock you and maybe even have you smile.  If you don't like it, don't read it, I insist.  Life goes on.  But don't ever accuse me of peddling sex to YOUR children.  You're in charge of your children... not me.  I'm in charge of mine.

Should I have put a "Reader Warning" at the top of DOMINATION GAME 1. GAME 2... NOT SO MUCH?  You're right... I should of. Everyone makes mistakes. I'm sorry about that. But don't suggest I need to be "better than that." I've been the same guy since day one and we've build the BYB audience the same way.  We report Yankee news, celebrate family, have alittle fun and YES... sometimes there's a zinger in there.  Guilty as charged, counselor.

I appreciate everyone that reads us here at Bleeding Yankee Blue.  But I won't stop being the Chief that got us here.  I still steer the ship and I still raise my own children.

I don't however... raise yours.
