YOU GOT TROUBLE MY FRIEND

No one likes their name attached to Tommy John.  I mean sure, ultimately Tommy John's a nice guy and we all love him. He had a terrific baseball career and who the hell wouldn't want to hang out with Tommy John?

But when your injury leads to Tommy John Surgery... well, that stings.

The report for Ivan Nova seems like just that. According to Bryan Hoch, "The MRI on RHP Ivan Nova last night has revealed a partial tear of ulnar collateral ligament of his right elbow.

He will be placed on the disabled list today and will be further examined tomorrow in New York by Yankees team physician Dr. Chris Ahmad.

'Tommy John' surgery is a possibility, though the Yankees will look at the chance that the injury can be rehabbed first."

Assume it's coming ladies and gentlemen... tough break for the Yankees. The good news is plenty of players come back from Tommy John surgery just fine. The only downside is Nova will be sidelined for a bit and the Yankees have a hole in their rotation right now.
