ANOTHER FORMER RED SOCK IS A YANKEE

News came down late last night that Andrew Bailey and the New York Yankees were working toward a deal.  This morning, it's official.

Andrew Bailey is a New York Yankee signing a minor league deal. That comes from ESPN who writes:

"The New York Yankees have agreed to terms with reliever Andrew Bailey on a minor-league deal, according to a source....The major-league side of the deal is worth $2.5 million and includes a 2015 option and buyout as well as incentives, according to a source.

Should Bailey reach the majors, he'll make a prorated base salary of $1.975 million, plus the incentives, the source said."

Now, I have no problem stockpiling arms, but Bailey didn't give the Red Sox much when he was with them because he had shoulder problems.  It's a minor league deal so it's not a huge worry here, but for the Yankees sake, you hope that if Bailey makes the majors, he's effective for us.

So there you have it... other former Red Sock is now a Yankee.  While it's actually irrelevant that former Red Sox are now flocking to New York because these are "players" we're talking about, not "moles" or "infiltrators", like the conspiracy theorists will tell you... off the Larry Lucchino comments the other day, read HERE, it just makes me slightly aggravated.

Who's next in our Yankees future... Jonathan Papelbon?
