"STILL ROOM FOR CANO" SAYS YANKEE OFFICIAL

That headline quote above comes from Joel Sherman of the New York Post who literally just posted it on Twitter this second. Check it out:
That's right, the window IS closing. The money that went to Jacoby Ellbury most likely could have went to Robinson Cano first, if he wasn't so stubborn. Clearly Robbie's chasing the mighty dollar and not the game he loves.

Also, the Yankees finalized their deal with second baseman Kelly Johnson today, read HERE.  It's clear, time is running out for Cano. Plenty of Yankee fans are so fed up with Robbie, they'd be thrilled to have Johnson at second.

Here's what we know... the Mariners suggested that Cano could be a "baseball legend in Seattle, not just a Yankee legend." That made me fall out of my chair in laughing.  We also know that Cano was spotted in Detroit...according to... someone in Detroit.
In fairness, I don't have a solid source on that part of the story. Plus, I once thought I saw Elvis in Detroit in the early 90's and it was never confirmed either.

Look, it's getting crazy now... but I just wanted to inform you of 2 important pieces of information:

The Yankees have NO intention of trading Brett Gardner, and the Yankees still want Cano, but time is running out.
