WHY IT JUST STINKS

Being swept by the Red Sox is no way to go into the weekend. This was a supposed to be a rivalry but it's turned into a spectacle and it sucks. Full story HERE.

The Yankees looked like they were on their way and I'm not going to bore you with the details, but the bottom line is, the Yankees lost and we a lot yesterday, so, needless to say, I will make it brief and we have to move on and get ready for the Indians. The Boston Globe's headline says it all... RED SOX WIPE OUT YANKEES. Yup. That's about right.

Then, hell broke lose in the Bronx and because of the 3 and a half hour rain delay, in which all of the East coast went to bed, no one saw the massacre that happened next. I guess that kind of was a good thing for the Yankee fans who actually have work today.

The Red Sox scored 7 runs in the 7th inning and suddenly the game was 8-3 Sox. What the hell just happened everyone asked when they checked their favorite Yankee blog, Bleeding Yankee Blue this morning? It's simple freaks, the Yankees suck and they can't beat the now first place Red Sox.

One bright moment for me was hitting David Ortiz in the leg. We waited until CC Sabathia was on the mound and that's all fine and good, but to me, we were angrier 2 days ago and I'd rather had sent a message then. Either way, I'm happy we retaliated. Ortiz was "furious" that the media drove the story to get Sabathia to hit him. You want some bread with that whine Ortiz? Go back to Boston is shut your pie hole. Your boy Schilling was on Kay 2 days ago practically suggesting bat flipping and hitting batters is just baseball. Get on the same page.

The big question is this...if the Yankees pitch their top aces against their top rival and lose, doesn't that worry the Yankee brass alittle bit here? It worries me for sure. I'm sure Cashman's pacing and he knows he's got to pull the trigger fast on something because time is ticking on these hot days in June. We need stability and the Yankees need wins. No doubt about that.

Final Score: Red Sox 8 - Yankees 3. No more to say here. I'm out.
