When boats showed up at his aunt's home and she was safe she tipped rescuers to neighbors around her that she knew also needed help, read more HERE. That is paying it forward and shows that people can come together in times of distress. It's hard to hear so many stories like this, but how amazing is social media? It got help to Goody's family and others around her. At least it has a happy ending.

I'm glad Goody's family is okay and it is good to hear about all of the stories in the news about people reaching out to help those affected by Harvey. I especially loved how the Tampa Bay Rays stepped up to let the Astros use Tropicana field to play their home games AND how they donated those proceeds to help hurricane relief, read HERE.
There's another powerful hurricane churning in the Atlantic named Irma. Let's hope Irma stays out to sea. Many people still need help. If you want to donate, check your local news for any donation drives in your local communities. I know where I live we have had many diaper and water drives all week.
You can also donate money by visiting the Red Cross website and donate HERE (minimum of $10) or you can also grab your cellphone and text HARVEY to 90999 to donate $10. You can also find a list of local organizations to donate to HERE.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by Harvey.
